Seriously TGP,, can you cheap out any more on your cinnamon buns ?!?!Each year they shrink in size, the price goes up and now we just got a batch of with practically no cinnamon and absolutely NO goo. Come on, goo is what makes it a cinnamon bun!! I am seriously disappointed with you, I really thought your business was better then that.

I went several times during three week stay in Winnipeg for business. Definitely the best bakery i went to in Winnipeg: sampled a few items and everything was good to excellent including the dripped coffee. I went early in the morning so not too busy and service was fine. The bannock and jam was my favourite. Have never seen that before. I thought the prices were very reasonable (compared to Vancouver at least).

I always get a fresh cinnamon bun from this bakery when visiting Winnipeg. It has been consistent quality for years and years. The shop front is very tidy and the staff friendly.

I have frequented the original location of Tall Grass Prairie that is on Westminster Ave. Absolutely love their cinnamon buns and other baked goods.I did not know that there was a second location at the forks so I decided to go check it out and see if it was all about.Well, it’s “ about” the same but even better!The iconic cinnamon buns are there and a lot more. They have more offerings ( including soup, sandwiches and baked goods) because the location at the Forks has a lot more space to create than the original store.They even serve coffee , which is excellent.Nice location, great ambience and attentive staff.I shall return!

I love Tall Grass Prairie. I prefer the location in Wolseley, but this site is pretty good too. They have a good selection of breads, some of which are seasonal or are baked only on certain days (the potato bread is especially good when it is available). Tall Grass Prairie also has great brownies and cookies (especially the Folk Fest cookie). Their fruit pies are to die for – pricey but definitely worth it. Around thanksgiving, you can see bakers taking roasted pumpkins out of the oven as they scoop out the insides to make their next batch of pumpkins pies. You have to pay a deposit for any pie plates, but you can return it later for a refund. They also have a number of delicious cakes – chocolate with buttercream icing, carrot cake, lemon poppyseed cake, etc. I think all of their ingredients are natural, so the flavours really hit your palate.

This bakery is too good and they have variety of Bread, Croissants, and Coffee. Very nice place for Breakfast. Delicious food. Must visit place in Winnipeg.

This place is a must try when visiting the Forks. The perfect amount of sweetness and cinnamon flavour and a great flavour of fresh bread given the fact that they use whole grains. Love love LOVE!

If you go to the Forks , this bakery is a must try place. Once you go there, definitely order their cinnamon bun because it is one of the most classic spot-on cinnamon bun you will have. I usually will bring it home and toast the cinnamon bun, and it is a real special treat.
