Sproutz & Uturn Consignment

I am writing to express my dismay at the service I received at Sproutz&UTurn today.I am a long-time customer, both consigning and shopping at your store for over a decade. Today, I purchased a few items and before the transaction was completed, I inquired about my consignment amount, and was told that I did have credit showing but it was no longer valid because I hadn’t shopped there in a year, so my credit has been pocketed by the store owner, a policy I wasn’t aware of and I don’t remember having signed this policy many years ago. I question whether it is even legal, to confiscate money due to the consignees?I am very disappointed that the management/owner of Sproutz&UTurn would pull such a dishonest move and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of integrity shown by your family-based business. Due to my experience today, I will not do any further business at your store and recommend others to do the same.

Have been using this boutique for 8 years. It has really changed and grown but not necessarily for the best. They sell So Many boxed toys and trinkets that were never there before. It is turning into more of a store, and less of a consignment. The clothes they sell are still of excellent quality and never store brand garbage, but their prices are also increasing- a lot. Even 2 years ago you could buy Lulu shorts for $18- $22 and last week I couldn't find any for less than $30. Still a nice store and it always smells really good. There are a bunch of new staff that NEVER greet ppl walking in anymore and are reluctant to answer questions. Their items go on sale pretty quickly and if you have time to hunt around you can find some amazing deals. Still recommend this store.

If I could give 0 stars I would.I use to live just a few blocks away and my mom and I shopped there all the time. Over the past few years, the quality of clothes and customer service have gone down and the prices just KEEP going up.The ladies at the front were very unfriendly and did not seem willing to help. The store also seemed to be very organized. Usually, when I go thrift shopping, I prepare to look at everything because it is hard to keep sizes and styles together but everything was just all over the place. I can usually deal with a messy place but due to the negative attitude of employees, I just wanted to leave my place. I am all for supporting small local businesses, but they need to start acting like they need the customers because you will start to lose them one by one.

The staff is very unfriendly and clothes are too overpriced for what they are worth.

Have enjoyed buying from them, I have started purchasing online since they ship and we've recently moved. We have consigned with them as well. The process is easy and its a great way to be environmentally friendly and get a good deal.

This store is amazing and the staff are very friendly. Please don’t let other peoples bad experience make you question to shop here. They have quite a great selection of items here for children and adult. I will definitely be back to shop here again!

First time wife and I came, was a bit weird that you had to look stuff online then ask for them to get the stuff then try it on but it worked.This time they told us she would have to buy the clothes, take them home to try them on, then return them if she didn't like them. Then also said they weren't sure if the website was accurate because of a sale they had.Waste of over an hour round trip. Terrible

I dropped a full bin of clothing on January 11th and found out today that only 3 items from the bin were accepted and the rest was tossed. There was a note written in my file that claimed the rest of the items I had dropped off were too worn"

I was just in that store and got some used jeans and it was priced for 4.50$ so I got them when I got to the front the lady told me that it was priced wrong she can't sell them to me for 4.50 actually it's 14.50 I was like what! She said the consignment won't make any money I told her well that's not fair you guys made the mistake she said I can't sell them to you at this price if you can't afford them you have the option not to get them and she made me feel cheap standing there like I couldn't afford the extra 10 but that wasn't the point she was very rude and embarrassed me I will not be coming back here thank you for making me pay for your mistakes

I've been coming for years because the quality is typically great. Recently drop offs for used items has become more hassel then its worth. Rules keep changing, lots of limitations on times, how much etcs kickbacks aren't worth the work, and cost of stuff is not much less then buying new. Again quality is good, but not a friendly environment for drop offs.
