They have done plenty of work for friends and family of ours.Had them come in for an estimate, I’m extremely pleased with their transparency! Cannot wait to get our floors done in the upcoming weeks! We recently hired Select to refinish our maple staircase and it was a disaster! PLEASE READ ENITIRE REVIEW AND WATCH ATTACHED VIDEO TO SAVE YOURSELVES THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!I hired Jimmy because of his 50+ years of experience and had all confidence that he would do the best job. It was a complete NIGHTMARE!! His son and other employee did most of the work with very little supervision from Jimmy. The work was very sloppy and there was absolutely no care or respect of my home. No plastic protection from dust or taping on the floors around staircase. We just installed brand new hardwood floors in April with another company and Select did not take any care in protecting the floors from their stain used on stairs. There are at least 30 floor boards with black stain splatters on them that have to be replaced because the stain cannot be removed. There are some stair treads and risers not stained at all. Nails are sticking out where they replaced the risers. Stain runs and inconsistent color on pickets and stairs. Stain was applied on raw wood so there is splintering on railing, pickets and stairs. There were 15 places on my freshly painted walls with black stain that cannot be removed so I had to call my painter back to repaint the entire upstairs and downstairs hallway , at my expense. Jimmy did not take responsibility for the deficiencies, and was very disrespectful and confrontational when we pointed out these issues and responded with Who Cares!"

Very happy with their work! Scheduled us in quickly. Jimmy and Steve were great to deal with and did an excellent job. We had already removed the trim (replacing it ourselves). Happy with how the colour turned out.

What a breath of fresh air!I have a 100 year old house with original hardwoods, and they needed love, desperately.I called Steve in the morning, he came a few hours later, gave me a very reasonable quote (I had gotten other quotes), and he had a no-nonsense, get-it-done vibe, which I loved. I immediately knew I wanted him to do the job. He started just days later, finished it in less than two days. And the floors look STUNNING. It was such an easy, quick, and painless process for me, and I wish all tradesmen could be that way. And let me tell you, they’re not!Worth every penny. Definitely use Select Floor Service!
