First General was the Contractor we used when our basement flooded. A basement flood is a nightmare, but First General took care of everything. They were prompt, responsive, and professional. They got the job done quickly and the finished product was defintely better than before the flood. Workers were on time every day and were very professional. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After a slow start this company if they can't make a profit will dump you. I was scheduled for August but because I neaded a new furnace and advocated that sewage...by code requires it...they dumped me when I asked about getting plumbing done that we had already discussed after being on a list for 2 weeks. My son said it best he heard our furnace discusion. The adult conversation guy...that's the owner.....wasn't being an adult.

Highly recommend First General Services! We recently had First General come in to take care of some water damage that occurred in our house. They were professional and paid very close attention to detail. They were very friendly to deal with and always made sure that we were happy with the work they performed before leaving. First General is definitely who I would hire again every time!

I had a great experience with First General. A big thank you to Derek and his crew that came in to clean up including the movers and plumbers. They were all very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

First General was fabulous. They were professional, courteous, and quick. When one team finished and left, another came in right away to continue the next steps. They also took a lot of care with our house furnishings and floors. We've never been more impressed with any contractor in any town we've lived in. Not only is all of the water damage gone, but they took us up on our roof to show us how to reduce the chance of ice damming. We have problem areas not just on our low-slope roof but also around the chimney. From end to end, the work has taken 12 days and the work areas have been cleaned spotlessly. We would recommend First General to anyone.

I had a sump pump failure on April 4th 2019, the initial response from First General for the clean up/inventory was great. There was a good crew of friendly, professional individuals at my house within short notice and I felt that I was receiving outstanding service. Unfortunately that is where my positive experience with First General stopped. It is now May 2nd and I have still yet to receive an estimation or quote for repair costs. The only feedback I receive is that they are busy dealing with other sump failures/floods and emergency calls. Meanwhile my finished basement (including master bedroom) is still in a state of complete disrepair. I am disappointed with how this has played out and am very frustrated with the unclear timeline for resolution. I have heard some good things about First General but my own personal experience following the initial clean up has been lackluster. If you are too busy to service your customers, hire more employees.

Quick to show up and start the work but it took 2 years to complete the project. They are horrible and will not miss a chance to screw you. I knew things were going to be bad when not one note was taken during our first discussion....windows, doors and chimney were overlooked....I would never, never, never have anything to do with this company or family ever again. Beware.

Had a pipe burst in my home and had two companies come by to assess the damage and propose remediation. Mike from First General was knowledgeable and considerate, made both my wife and I feel that he would ensure that no water was left to mould between walls by being thorough.A team of 12-15 people was there a few hours later to begin their work. They were thorough, respectful and friendly. They even swept up our driveway after pulling everything out of the house.Would definitely recommend their services.
