Worst McDonald's experience ever. Haven't been here in two years. What a mess, I used to love coming here. They redesigned it, it's laughable it's so bad inside. One till to pay at, so I made my order at the touch screen and paid. MISTAKE, it didn't give me a receipt. When I got my order I went down to the beach. I added lettuce, tomato, and extra mayo. Upon opening it up, it didn't have hardly anything, let alone it was missing the extras that I paid for. The burger was terrible, the fries cold, of course, they never get that right. They stack all the fries up at the drive-thru so everyone is guaranteed cold fries. Everyone needs the name of the designer so they don't make or allow such mistakes, a lesson on how to go from one of the best McDonald's I've been into, to absolute rock bottom. If you're going to eat here, go through the drive-thru and check your order before you drive away. 0 out of 5. You can tell that whoever owns it doesn't care.

NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!!I feel sorry for all the employees that have to work under/with Ryan.While waiting for my order he was making faces at crew members behind their backs. The actions of a very insecure person.He was also making the point that things are done my way"

The store just decides to close randomly it seems. McDonald’s app wouldn’t load points or offers once I got there. Multiple workers hanging out outside with a drive thru line. The location used to be good pre covid but now is a disaster.

This McDonald's is one of the worst , due to its inconsistencies of times when it's open and when they decide to close . It clearly has its hours posted of when it's open and when it closes and then you roll up and the store is closed and the drive through is closed .My Dad has a disabled and went to use the washroom this morning and the doors was locked ! (10:21 am) He Drove to the drive thru and was told the dinning room is closed due to staffing issues ..." I feel like this is always there excuse. I have heard this to many times and this time enough is enough. I feel like this goes against AODA ....(Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act

When I think of Mcdonald's, I think of quick service, affordable fast food and convenience. However, this specific location have disappointed us multiple times this past weekend.Passed by around 10:30 PM on a Saturday evening to get a quick late night bite, after a long drive from Toronto to visit some family in Port Hope. We were pretty disapppointed to see the establishment closed, with a blocked drive thru and empty parking lot. Its a bummer since this Mcdonald's is just off the highway 401 and located at a very convenient spot for travellers going East of the GTA.Good thing we have family in the area, that we were able to stay the night and try again in the morning before continuing our travels. We passed by the next morning, to get a quick breakfast around 10:30 am, and again were disappointed by the slow service we recieved a the drive thru. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, and 4 hash browns, and were asked to park at the designated waiting spot. However, we waited for over 15 minutes just to get our food, which is unacceptable for such a small order. The hash browns were soggy by the time we got it, and the cheese in the sandwiches have already stuck to the wrapper which tells me that our food has been sitting for some time.Hope the management in this location tightens up on their business. Since this locstion have great potential, and expectations.

This location is so poorly run and I regret after all the years of coming to Port Hope why I never stop here. Standing at the counter asking the guy who’s punching in his own meal if any one works here while 8 people are standing around the packing area. Finally someone comes by, I order lunch for my crew, he has to look at his phone to make sure it’s 11am even though the screens have now changed to reflect lunch. I’m thinking these people need to be trained on customer service and spend less time chatting with each other. Talk about over promise and under deliver. Just a notch better then the horrible location at Keele and St.Clair in Toronto.

I have spent a fair amount of time loitering in this Mcdonald's in the last few weeks waiting for my son to write exams as he goes to school in town and there aren't many other places to go in the AM other than Tims which is a hard pass for me.This place is impeccably clean and the staff are out cleaning tables and walls etc constantly. Big plus for me. Never had an order issue and for the most part the staff seem to be friendly and helpful.It is a QSR and yes there are some quirky employees that have some strange banter and can def rub people the wrong way if you have thin skin.I cannot speak to the speed of the drive thru or the inconsistent hours as others have mentioned but for me they seem to do a pretty decent job.One last thing. This may be the only QSR I have been to in years that actually gives their patrons napkins in sufficient amounts without having to ask. That is a pet peeve of mine. Like you roll through a Tims and order five sandwiches and they don't give you a single napkin! Gross. You ask and they peel off one or two. Franchisees should find other ways to manage costs.

I do find that orders are regularly incorrect when going here. I have even had other customers warn me to check my order before leaving the front counter because they had had issues with incorrect orders. I'm going to chop this up to poor management. Hope it gets better soon as I know from past experience that MacDonalds has fool proof processes in place to make sure things run quickly and smoothly so I'm not sure how these mistakes can happen so often.
