The owner, Jeff True, is a genuine gentleman and a generous and helpful businessman. Visiting his store is a wonderful experience that takes one back to the carefree moments of youth and model trains. The store has loads of modern HO-scale trains, structures , scenery materials and electronics. Have a question, don't hesitate to ask. Need a special order, Jeff will get it for you ASAP. Note to visitors to the store: closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Check the web site for store hours or call ahead. Sometimes the store is closed unexpectedly. To the owner:If you are reading this, I understand your wife passed away a few years ago and your business hours have not been stable. While I was in Merrickville for a few weeks staying with my older brother, I came into your store and hanged around for a few hours and you didn't have a problem with it. I was 16 years old, and I'm 33 now. I wasn't a paying customer, but I was fascinated with all the products and displays.Model railroading is still a popular hobby and I have only been involved for over a year now. Customers who are big fanatics on model railroading take their hobby seriously and rely on businesses like yours to be open according to the hours.I have decided to give you 5 stars because you were generous to me 17 years ago. I've been coming to this store since I was a kid in the late 2000's. The shelves are always full of great stock and as someone who has visited many hobby shops in their lifetime I can tell you that they're prices are below average. They also have a great window layout which I've always in fascinated by. The only thing I would be careful of is that the store's hours can be spotty so call ahead before driving there.

Certainly the best brick and mortar" model railroad hobby store in eastern Ontario. Operated by a life long modeler who is knowledgable and very helpful. This store is very well stocked. There are also plenty of consignment items to help budget minded modelers and youth get into the hobby. Drop by

Should be called a modeler's paradise.Wall to wall rolling stock, scenery, tools, books, equipment and everything else you could ever need or want in spades.Jeff's been in business for far longer than I've even been on this planet, and it really shows.10/10 will train again.

Pretty expencive. Seems to he think everthing he has for sale is Gold and some of his sky high prices are just rediculous He has some beat to death G gauge crockadile LGB engines that in the present state are worth about $150.00 each that he thinks are worth $1000.00 EACH. I know my trains and l wouldnt buy his overed priced used stuff at all

First trip to Merrickville today to visit Lark Spur Line Ltd. train store. I met the owner Jeff Trew what a descent gentleman to talk to. Super nice guy very knowledgeable and helpful. They had a sale for the holidays %25 off the entire store even sale items. Purchased some structures today for some dioramas. If you do not see what you are looking for just ask and they will bring it in for you. I Will definitely be going back again soon for another visit.

Neat train shop. A mixture of new, used and estate sale items. You'll never leave empty handed!
