Jumbo Donair

Showed up around 6:30, was told that donair service is stopped after 6pm. Shop looked barren, and unorganized. Not going back.

I was very conflicted as to whether or not to go swing by there for lunch due to the reviews. I grew up in the area, but I haven’t been here for a long time. I just happen to be working in the neighbourhood at a construction site. I had a hankering for a Donaire a couple of months ago and went to the place in Milbourne mall and I was very very disappointed. So this time I decided despite the reviews I was going to try jumbo Donair. I am not exaggerating when I say that was literally probably the best Donair I’ve had in 20 years all I can think is anybody who’s written a negative review is a competitor, because the food was incredible and the people are super nice. I will definitely be going back again and again!

Some Filipino bakery took over ownership and the donairs just aren't the same, additionally I was here at lunch time on a Wednesday and they were closed for some reason, no information on the door or anything.This used to be my go to spot, but I won't be back now.

Largest Donair I've ever seen, extremely tasty for its size. There were bites where it was just delicious meat. Heaven XD.

When I think about a donair - I want meat! This guy delivers! Tasty and he himself he a wonderful person with top notch customer service!His food is to die for!About to gain some weight lol

Under new ownership - same name, but no Maher (Mike) with his honest warm smile and big welcome. Donair meat and sweet sauce are completely different, and not nearly as good. Unfortunately it is now just a nondescript donair hoping that old customers will keep coming back.

Jumbo Donair is best Donair place in Edmonton with one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. The chicken Donair is no loaf it is stacked chicken breast. Outstanding and delicious!

Original worker is back, food now is VERY TASTY, very happy to see Maher is back.

Mike the old owner is no longer there the guys that cook there have no idea what there doing and can't even fry fries mine were raw still 0 stars now if I could the meat is even the same some thin sliced pre packaged stuff they get wish I new if Mike went somewhere else or retired or something

Used to love this place as my #1 goto donair place. The gentleman who used to own it left and now it is being run by someone else. I DO NOT recommend this place at all any more. I sure its an okay Phillipine bakery but they do not know donairs. Its a Hard pass for me from now on.
