Their online booking system does not work - I booked online over the weekend and even received an email confirmation of my appointment. When I arrived on time for my appointment I was told I wasn't actually scheduled. And whatever the glitch is in their online booking, they don't seem to care to fix it. So, don't book online, and maybe don't book at all.

Incredible!! I think my hairdresser was Selena (or Serena?!). Such a gem of a find! I was not sure what to expect having never been there before. She did a great job and gave me exactly the cut I wanted and was friendly! Facility was great, very roomy, bright and clean. Cannot believe the price!!!! So cheap. Ive had poor experience with service/cuts in Victoria (and for triple the price) so I was a very happy customer. Thank you!!

Really nice, clean location. Had my haircut by a girl named Jenifer. She listened to me and gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. She washed my hair, and gave me a scalp massage. Amazing! It was the highlight of my day! I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend Jenifer.

I asked for a simple bob haircut jawline length, she started with clippers at the back of my neck, the bob was 2 inches too long, she seemed very unsure and kept telling me my hair was so thin. When I got home I looked at the back and realized the hair fell way below my hair line at the back of my neck and pulled my hair up and saw she shaved a uneven patch on half the hair line. I don't know why she shaved a uneven spot then left the other hair longer. I want my money back but I don't want to be a Karen lol

It's hard to find a stylist who does a great job but Cheryl at Island Haircut fills the bill for me. I've been back twice and hsve been very pleased with the outcome on both occasions. Not only does Cheryl excel at her trade but she is also very personable. Reasonable price too.

Tried to cut my own hair because of the heatwave and it looked terrible. I came here and was greeted by a very nice lady. They cut my hair great and were very friendly. The prices are very affordable for the quality and the additional sanitation fee is worth it for being in a very clean and professional environment. Thankyou!

Just got my fine, thick hair cut there by Marlen and it looks awful. The stylist did not know how to cut fine hair and as a result the layers and fringe look chunky and awful. I'm going elsewhere to get it fixed.Update: went to another salon and they did their best to fix it. They confirmed that my hair had been cut as though it were coarse hair and the layers, bangs, and fringe hadn't been blended at all. They did their best and it looks better, but it's much shorter than I wanted because they had to cut up to the first poorly-done layer and there's a part at the back they can't really fix without going to basically a pixie cut so they've tried to hide the messed up layer .

Island Haircutting Co. is a friendly and affordable place to get a haircut. I was happy that I was able to call and have a hair appointment booked on the same day. The staff proved to be quite friendly, and other customers were as well too. All in all, it was a great experience and I plan to continue getting my haircut here!

Decent cut, but they ended up cutting more than I wanted and was a bit uneven.

Cheryl was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she do a great job on colouring my hair and making it healthy but she also made me feel comfortable. She was great to talk to, made me tea, and listened to what I wanted and actually did it! Would recommend.
