Scott is an awesome instructor. My son has been taking lessons for a couple of years now, first in person, now via Skype. Scott's been very flexible now that my teen-age son has a job and the whole Covid dilemma of how to continue with instruction. Lessons are more than just about guitar and music; they are about life strategies for success, personal motivation, and discipline in all that my son will do. Great value! Great knowledge! I've been playing guitar for a long time, but took a 15 year break. A few years ago, I decided to get back into playing. I wanted to take lessons to fill in some longstanding gaps in my technique and knowledge and improve my overall playing. A friend of mine suggested Scott. I emailed Scott and told him what I wanted to learn, and he said we can start there.Taking lessons with Scott has been great. I look forward to my lesson every week. He is a very knowledgeable and skilled musician and teacher. I've learned so much -- improved my technique, learned a lot more music theory (which I enjoy). He has also taught me how to setup and modify my guitar. I'm learning songs which I've wanted to learn how to play since I was a kid, but thought they were too complicated for me. Scott has been a guiding me through this process. He both encourages and challenges me to the best I can be.If you want a a great teacher, I wholeheartedly recommend Scott!

I have been taking guitar lessons from Scott for over a year now. I started at age 50. I have always wanted to learn to play but was a little intimidated. Scott is very personable, warm, friendly and puts you at ease right away. His studio is professional but also very inviting, He is an extremely patient, encouraging and supportive teacher. He is an amazingly talented and gifted guitarist and musician and I have had the privilege of seeing Scott's Manifesto concert and was completely blown away by what Scott can do with a guitar. I have learned so much in the short time I have been with Szeryk Guitar Academy and my confidence and skill is growing each week. Scott is nothing short of a master at what he does. He completely restored my old Hagstrom II's electronics and it's never played or sounded better! (at least not in my lifetime lol). It was my first time having the pleasure of meeting Scott, and certainly won't be the last. If you're considering taking your instrument(s) to Scott, I can't recommend it enough. Thanks again!

Scott is a pro guitar teacher and player. I have learned more from him in under a year than in 6 years of lessons elsewhere. His priority is making you a better guitar player. Scott has a great personality and work ethic which improves the learning experiance.

Scott has a love of music and guitar in particular that is contagious. His love for teaching shows in his enthusiasm, and he has the experience and talent that make learning from him, virtually due to covid and distance, a bone-deep pleasure.I was reticent about lessons and put it off for years. Scott has an awesome and unique approach in teaching guitar, theory, and all aspects of music. Hands down the best teacher I have ever had. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and everytime I meet with Scott I learn something new that inspires me to keep taking my playing to the next level.
