We had an excellent building experience with Dueck Builders. If you are looking for an honest and very personal building experience you will get that with Dueck Builders. Cal, Josh, Mike and Scout communicated with us throughout the process and we never felt that we were asking too many questions or that they never had time for us. Our build was somewhat unique in that we were living next door to our house under construction and they allowed me the opportunity to be very involved. Mike McCarroll was patient with my involvement and answered all my questions. Mike gets high marks for how much he cares about doing things right and making sure that you are happy with the finished product. I think we worked well together and it made the process more enjoyable because we made it personal. One more important thing to consider, I was fortunate to meet every single contractor that set foot on the work site and every single contractor to a person had very high marks for Dueck Builders and how they conduct themselves as people and as a company, that says a lot. When making the decision to build, whoever you choose, don’t build based on price alone, put a lot of thought into the relationship you will have with the builder throughout the entire process. how well they communicate and how much they care. A shout out to Neil Dueck, who designed the house, he overhauled our initial drawings/ideas and came up with a grand slam for a design, keeping everything on our wish list in a somewhat compact 32’x45’ footprint for a total of 1300 sqft up and a fully finished basement down that is amazing. The 11’x13’ covered front porch is incredible and unique in the neighbourhood, it elicits great comments frequently. In 2014 I bought a house that Dueck built in 2009. The calibre of work these folks did is spectacular. When I tracked down the builder (prior to putting in an offer) the company owner was so friendly and helpful! He was happy to answer my questions about the house and clearly really stands by the work they do. The energy efficiency of this house is just mind blowing.Update: I recently had a home inspection prior to upgrading the house to solar. The house inspector said that's the most perfect attic I have ever seen". The electrician said "seeing an electrical panel like this is like winning the lottery". This house is a freaking dream come true.Pics are A) brand new in 2009 and B) getting solar in 2017."

In 2019, we worked with Dueck Builders to build our first accessible home for our organization. The experience was very positive with our home being built on time and under budget making the project a huge success. Cal and Josh were great to work with as both were organized and responsive. Dueck Builders planned and constructed our kitchen renovation. They helped us come up with a plan that suited our budget and built within that budget. The quality of work was excellent and we love our new kitchen. It was a great experience working with Dueck Builders!

We used Dueck Builders for a complete gut and remodel of our Wolseley bungalow. I have to admit we were a bit unsure how the work we required would be received, as our home is very small in comparison to the massive builds you see in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. Never once did we feel we were not a priority, and they were careful to ensure our vision was realized and guided us through the whole process. The staff at Dueck are so professional, easy to work with, very prompt in communications, questions or concerns, and importantly, do things right".
