Eisen Joel N Dr

My husband had a virtual call with Dr. Joel as he’s been seeking out care for his mental illness. A few weeks ago he went to the ER and was referred to Dr Joel by the crisis worker. We then waited 2 weeks for the appointment just have this doctor tell my husband he is fine, and when talking about the medications he is on, Dr Joel informed my husband that his medication is causing a placebo effect and doesn’t actually work. He gave no alternatives, he didn’t give any recommendations on what to do when going through episodes. I’m extremely disappointed that this doctor goes around saying this information to vulnerable individuals, and I believe my husband is strong and will continuing fighting his illness, but I can’t help think what happens if this doctor says these things to a patient who is tired of fighting, it could have a very sad outcome. This doctor needs to retire.
