Oxford Learning Richmond Hill

I've been working with Oxford since March 2019 and I have to say that there are a variety of diverse teachers, all with unique teaching methods that cater to many different students and their needs. It's great because Oxford's program encourages a hands-on method to learning where students are given time to understand the material independently before talking to the teachers. This allows the students to make more personal connections to the concepts and have richer conversations with us. Both the in-person and online program facilitate this connection and are great for giving students a more intimate relationship with their education.

I have been tutoring for Oxford for over 2 years and have seen amazing progress through working with students and their various needs. The dynamic at Oxford is professional, organized, and positive. As an employee at Oxford, I can proudly say that every teacher takes various approaches to teaching in order to cater to every students learning style. I see how much students enjoy learning at Oxford and it makes working there incredibly rewarding!

I have been working for Oxford since October 2019 and my experience has been professional. I have the best experience teaching French to kids and see their growth. I recommend this tutor program to every student who his motivated to learn and have fun at the same time!

I took my son here, who was having trouble with high school Math. They did a wonderful job improving his performance in school. His grades have gone up and generally he is much more confident with his schooling. Staff is great, helpful and informative. Tutors are smart and great at what they do. Highly recommend to any parent!

My children have been attending Oxford Learning Richmond Hill North for over 5 years.I am very happy with their service due to their professionalism, flexibility, dynamic instructors and the range of courses they offer just to name a few. The courses they offer are truly amazing: from language courses such as French Immersion to science courses like Physics. They also specialize in AP (Advanced Placement) programs. One of the key components of Oxford is teaching and helping students practice the structures of good study habits which in my opinion is a foundation to any discipline. They have programs designed to help Pre-School students all the way to Grade 12 students and I continue to look forward to interact with all the staff at Oxford Learning Richmond Hill North.

I signed my son up for the Little Readers program over the summer and he absolutely loved it! Bringing him to school is a nightmare but he absolutely loved going to Oxford (and his teacher). The small group setting was extremely beneficial for him and his school noticed a significant improvement/advancement in him when he got back to school in the fall.The staff members were always polite and extremely helpful anytime I had any questions.I'm currently in process of signing him up for the remainder of the school year. I highly recommend Oxford!

I have been working at this Oxford Learning for 18 months now. The coordinators and the other teachers are really kind, accommodating, understanding and hard-working. They're so good at what they do and they create an inclusive and friendly environment for the students to learn. All the teachers love working with the students. I truly wish that I had the opportunity to attend Oxford Learning when I was in elementary school or in high school. I was a good student but regardless, I could have gathered a lot of helpful strategies and knowledge from this program. The students' curriculum is relevant and very helpful. As the oldest of 5 kids, when I help my siblings with their homework, I know that Oxford's curriculum address the gaps that elementary and high school students tend to have. Oxford Leaning also helps them develop active learning strategies that makes them better students. In one of my university courses last year, my professor was teaching us SQRCRC to help us study for our upcoming midterm. Many of my classmates claimed that this was their first time seeing this learning strategy. But I had learned it at Oxford Learning when I started teaching it to my students. As I mentioned before, the young students are learning to use strategies that will help them at every stage of their lives. Thank you for reading my review. I hope it was helpful!

I cherish my experiences working at Oxford. I consider it a blessing to meet and work with children with different strengths, interests, and goals, and to watch them meet and exceed their goals. Through Oxford's independent learning strategy, I also have witnessed children become independent thinkers and learners who: see multiple perspectives in any problem; remember to independently and carefully examine examples / success criteria; connect prior knowledge / experiences to new information; improve their memory of previously studied material; and to otherwise think critically. The staff is friendly and helpful and their approach is tailored to each child and their needs. My 12 year old daughter was struggling with her english and french classes and since starting Oxford 2 years ago, I have seen her marks jump from low 70's to mid 80's. Now she is ready for high school and Oxford has been amazing at preparing her not only with the academic portion but she took the time management course as well as note taking through Oxford. Time management and note taking are fundamental skills not taught in the school system and I am so grateful Oxford has given her these skills to get her ready for High School. We are continuing Oxford classes throughout the summer and into the fall. Its amazing to know the staff are kind, skilled with children and know how to motivate them. The staff are always flexible and they keep track of my daughters progress and knows how to help her. I believe their system of learning is tried and true.
