We decided to try something new instead of our usual Goto for Japanese dining, ki was much closer to us and given some of the recent snow storms the shorter drive was a much needed reprieve. My partner and I started with an order of squid legs, the dish was quite nice and the side of mayo paired very well with the squid, next we shared an order of upon, very run of the mill and what you would expect for standard Canadian Japanese dining, the miso that accompanied my entre was a nice addition for the cold weather. As for the main course we ordered one spicy tuna crispy roll (deep fried) , one prawn katsu spicy curry, one potato croquet and one deluxe sashimi . The crispy tuna roll was quite nice and I found it paired well with the mayo from the squid leg appetizer I really enjoy deep fried sushi, as for the prawn katsu curry I didn't mind it, I found the presentation to be nice but a bit heavy with the batter, the curry was also quite mild unfortunately not living up the the spicy name, my partner had ordered the deluxe sashimi, again the presentation was interesting being served on a large bowl filled with ice, it looked great but ultimately made the sashimi extremely cold and took a bit away from the overall flavor texture. Over all we will likely check this place out again in the future. Not to bad would recommend.

Was looking for a great katsu place nearby and tried this. The staff were amazing, place is chill. The pork loin katsu has the right crunch but tender on the inside. It was also very flavorful and surprisingly not greasy! I also love the Spider sushi and their takoyaki! ✨

Run of the mill sushi restaurant. Fresh fish and the sashimi was quite good. Stay away from anything fried. Ordered the spider roll and it tasted like it was fried in old oil at too low of a temperature (oil soaked in!)

Great food and friendly service. I ordered the plain udon, takoyaki and some tamago. Our waitress was super kind and attentive. Highly recommended.

Hands down best Katsudon in Calgary!I keep trying other Katsudon from other places but none really match up to Ki Sushi's katsudon. It's so full of flavor! Not dry but also not a soggy mess, it's always just right. Service was also really nice and attentive. Great experience overall.

Decided to try after several good recommendations and was not let down in the least. It is small, but bright, clean and inviting as a place to drop in to eat.I decided to start small, with some red tuna sushi, inari and korokke. The sushi was well-seasoned, the tuna fresh and tasty and the size sushi is meant to be, not huge slabs of fish on giant rice balls (this is not an AYCE). Same goes for the inari, which had green onion in it (had not had before, but also tasty) with black sesame for texture. Pretty sure the croquettes were made with Japanese sweet potato - so good (but very hot, so don't dive in too quickly!).I also had spicy tuna (tasty but very mild) and yam tempura - very large rounds made it difficult to eat but tasty & had a satisfying crunch without being greasy or soggy.Staff were pleasant and friendly. Will return with spouse and/or friends in tow!

I absolutely love this place! Simple and affordable Japanese food made with quality ingredients. I especially love the Okonomi Katsu (has crispy and light breading) and Spicy Tuna Roll!
