Jenny's Runestone House
Absolutely fantastic BnB! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was 5 min away from both Norstead and the L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site. The views were gorgeous as the dining room and deck looked out over the bay. And Wendy the GM was a pleasure and went the extra mile providing great service (and delicious breakfasts) throughout our stay. 5/5 and I hope to have the chance to visit again.

Stayed here for 3 nights June 25-27, 2015. It surpassed all our expectations. You are right on the ocean, with a view from the dining room and deck of the bay and ocean. We walked to L'anse aux Meadows one day, we hiked nearby trails on either side of Hay Cove (awesome hiking) and had delicious food for breakfast and talks with Jenn and David as well! Got to love the price too! Good value but most of all LOVELY PEOPLE AND OCEANVIEW!

I could not have chosen a better place to stay at during the four nights I spent in L'Anse aux Meadows. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfasts with plenty of good food together with the other guests. I highly recommend this B&B.

Jenny's Runestone House
My family and I have stayed in a number of B&B’s right across the country and I can safely say that our experience at Jenny’s Runestone House is one of the best B&B’s in the country. From the moment we arrived, Wendy made us feel special and appreciated with snacks and beverages after our long drive. Her hospitality was warm, caring, and she seemed interested in all of us - making us feel right at home. She was gracious and kind, and the special gestures she made to make us feel welcome were above and beyond expectations. Her breakfast was delicious and ample, and one could tell it was made with love. Wendy was informative and knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area and able to connect us with the best eating establishments and attractions the area had to offer. Wendy fed us, housed us, and entertained us supremely. The surroundings were clean, cozy, and made us feel like we were home. Wendy made our visit to L’Anse aux Meadows most enjoyable and instilled a desire to return someday. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area.

Enjoy Newfoundland at its best--a modest but very comfortable and adequate accommodation with a MAGNIFICENT picture-window view of Hay Cove. We sat at the dining table and watched whales breaching off shore! Jenny and David epitomized hospitality and welcome. Jenny spreads a veritable feast for breakfast--and every bite delicious. And it's just minutes from L'Anse Aux Meadows National Park, where we might encounter David in his authentic Viking garb, adding colour to the historical village. Great spot for beach combing, birdwatching, whale-watching, walks, hikes and drives. We'll be back!!

Jenny's Runestone House
We LOVED staying here! The home is clean and relaxing, welcoming and inviting. Jenny and Dave are a wonderful source of knowledge and have a great sense of humour.Dave's knowledge of Norse history is wonderful. The rooms have their own heat source, and the beds are very comfortable. The decor is 'home' and not a hotel atmosphere. If you are looking for a true bed and breakfast, this is it. There is a small fridge for a bottle of wine or snack. Breakfast is tasty and well made. There was an endless amount of food and bakeapple preserve and partridge berry preserve. The scenery is so amazing on 3 sides, close to walking and hiking trails, walking from the provincial L'anse Aux Meadows and the amazing Norsestead reconstructed Norse village. The fourth side of the home has you looking back up into the rest of the community, and up to the main road. Jenny's Runestone house is in a quiet peaceful community. This has been a fabulous get away. You definitely need to stay here more then one night. We stayed a week and it became our home base as we took many day trips every day and came back in the evening to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine with them.

I stayed there for 2 nights with my wife and my 13 year old son in the 2nd week of August. There are not words to find and explain how wonderful host Jenny and David are! The B&B was in a great location, rooms was super clean and the breakfast was delicious! Jenny and David are a special couple and I will never forget leaving that morning for our next destination to see them both outside of the front door waving to us.... THANK YOU BOTH! Great memories for sure!

Jenny and David are absolutely the most wonderful hosts. We stayed here for two nights in June. Wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfasts are delicious and beds are very comfortable. Location is incredible with amazing views. One of our favorite places we stayed during our two week trip to Newfoundland.

Jenny was great, amazing food, and we were included in a neighborly bonfire and 'kitchen party'. Rooms was a nice size, and had a separate entrance. We were given good advice on what to do locally, and the most scenic way to get there. Will definitely return.
