Lost Creek Resort

It's beautiful out there and the staff is very friendly.

The place was clean on our arrival. Abundant supplies of utensils, cutlery, blankets, towels, hand soaps and facial wipes. Community fire pit was the best. The trail began from the site towards Waskesiu lake. That was a good morning walk. The owner was humble and helpful. The horseshoe game was fun. All in all I would definitely recommend this place.

The cabins are pretty nice and a short walk away from waskesui. The owner isn’t very organized and doesn’t really answer the phone. No one really knew what was going on with the booking when we arrived. He also decided to mow the lawn at 1pm right beside us when we were sitting outside enjoying a drink. Moved the Picnic table and everything. Other than the owner, place is good!

Great access to nature with clean and well-equipped rentals. A couple of minutes outside Waskesiu and away from the hustle and bustle there. One of the better equipped and maintained facilities in the area but the beds are a bit creaky and the wifi is somewhat spotty. It is the north after all - I come here to be close to nature and those things don't concern me. The people running the resort and the staff are good and kind people and I am a repeat customer and likely to come back.

I recently stayed here, and overall it was an enjoyable experience. We had a two night stay for two people in Cabin 20, and I found the area pretty quiet and the cabin to be fairly clean. A few criticisms are: considering the price point is quite high ($236/night), there were no condiments or complimentary coffee/tea made available in the cabin, which I was surprised at, the wifi didn't have the best signal, and there was a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom, but no bubble bath was provided. Just a small thing also, I noticed a longer piece of hair attached to the coat hanger when I first arrived, and there were a few pieces of small hairs on the wall near the bathroom. The exterior of the cabin needs some repairs, especially the door.

Lost Creek is a beautiful spot next to an amazing park and beach - host is friendly. We need to point out a few areas for improvement…bathrooms were clean, but there were mosquitos splattered on the walls and ceilings, ancient cobwebs on the ceiling fan and a solid layer of dust on the a/c unit (which is not adequate for the space), and dirty curtains. If this was promoted (and priced) as a rustic getaway there would be no complaints, but this is a premium price ($888.08 for 2 nights) so things like the bubbled wood floor and scratched / wobbly table are not in keeping with value.

We have been coming here for 4 years now and every season. Gord and team do an amazing job here! Simply a great getaway!

Comfortable, well run, well located and our favourite place to stay in Waskesiu. Open year-round.

This is a four and a half star... Not perfect but the cabins are well equipped and a great place to stay at waskesiu. It is close enough to the main drag to walk and each cabin has a well equipped BBQ. The hot tubs were closed due to covid but didn't take away from the trip at all. The community fire pit is a nice place to relax and meet new people. Cabin were clean and they provide an abundant amount of towels. My family had a great stay!

Cabins are very clean and cozy. Access to the ski trails from the resort without driving. I have always enjoyed my stays immensely here.The only things to improve are that the hot tubs have a lot of chlorine... I definitely would bring an old swimming suit as the chlorine in the hot tubs will take all the colour out and put holes in it. Also beware that the cabin count always means 2 people will have to sleep on the hide a bed and they are quite uncomfortable.Other than that, this place is amazing and I will definitely be back.
