Revera The Edinburgh

Unbelievably poor service. Currently needing to drive across the city because I haven't been able to reach a staff member in over twenty minutes.

Bad for our neighborhood. They are the only place that doesn't keep their energy levels down with outdated anti environment lighting. They have a huge advertising display on a brick wall that shines all night. They also have signs all over their top building ledge, That is in addition to another large mural for more ad display. This business looks desperate at any cost. The outdated large bright lights shine into our homes & condos & we feel violated in our private rooms. This is out of character for our quiet village atmosphere . They have been informed a few times that this does not fit our community but they make no effort. It's also a refuge for many rooftop filthy nesting pigeons .They don't even bother putting simple deterrents that most of the other buildings do. They jist don't care about their neighbours. .

MY 106 YEAR OLD FATHER WAS FORCED OUT OF HIS 17 PLUS YEAR HOME BECAUSE HE NEEDED A TWO PERSON TRANSFER.THE EDINBURGH TOOK HIM IN AND IT IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO HIM ALTHOUGH TRAUMATIC.THE FOOD IS TERRIFIC AND HE IS EATING WELL AGAIN!THE STAFF ALL WANT TO HELP ALL THE TIME!THE PLACE IS EXTREMELY CLEAN AND WELL RUN!IT SHOULD BE RATED MUCH HIGHER.

April 2021Our 95 year old Mother has been living at The Edinburgh for a year. She had to move to a home for additional support after a fall. It has been a terrific experience for her and us. There was a fast and efficient plan for the move including recommendations for movers and assistance on the moving day.The food is good Mom tells us and the entire staff team is very caring and professional. The amenities are quite lovely. There is a penthouse where the residents can enjoy the beautiful views of Ottawa and our Mother spends many hours there daily. The Recreation department is very creative and all of the special events are organized well and we often receive photographs. There is also a shaded outdoor patio area on the main floor of the home where family members can meet. The year of Covid has meant we have not had many in person visits but the great recreation staff assist our Mom with her phone so she can speak to us when we visit her at her window. We would highly recommend The Edinburgh to anyone looking for a caring and lovely place to call home. We are grateful to have found this home for our Mother. We rest easier now knowing our Mom is happy and healthy and safe.Carol Gusen and Donna Quiggin

A strange environment. There are rarely any residents seen outdoors. That speaks volumes about incomplete unhealthy senior care. Not only are they not getting fresh air , they are shut out from the world. I wouldn't recommend this home for a loved one.

My dad spent the last years of his life at the The Edinburgh and we can without a doubt say he was well cared for, with the staff taking extra care when he needed more help. The staff at the residence very caring and took the time to develop a relationship with my dad, becoming like an extended family. We have no hesitation recommending this residence, as it was one of the best we experienced, definitely top tier.
