Had an outstanding experience with Zack. Booked an appointment in advance and was in within 5 minutes of arriving. I had issues with renewing my license and health card and Zack was more than pleasant and happy to help me out as fast as possible!

Actually I was so pleased with impressive support and attention was given to me by Mr Zack . He’s so helpful, friendly and such an expert in his field. Generally speaking they are great staff.

Waited two hours in line then once inside after I was given a number I waited another hour. My number was never called they said they don’t know why. They have zero respect for customers time and instead of taking accountability and looking into why such an error occurred they just assume the customer is at fault.

Bad system in place for helping people. Make sure you have an appointment before you go. Waited for 2 hours+ in the wall-in line, and I was first in line the whole time. They will continue to help appointments only and will take one person from the wall-in line ONLY if there's no one left in the appointment line - quite a rare occurrence - took 2 hours for me.They will still assist those with appointments even as they are not ready, don't have documents and even if they hold up both lines. They have just one person managing all this madness at the front door, and let's just say that person is no good at triaging.Just a terrible experience overall. I am from Alberta and we have privately owned registries - managed way better.

It is always great if you have an appointment, but without appointment is a nightmare. Without appointment, you have been sentenced to ruin your all day waiting for your number.

Ontario service is not here to serve people. Just a bunch of lazy employees delaying process for each person and looking for the easiest justification to have you come back again another time. When people have work and other priorities and can’t just leave work for multiple hours.I arrived for the walk in line outside the waiting area and was second in line. Watched the front desk person spend 30 minutes taking her time with a client. I’m sure she would categorize it as “Going above and beyond” to see if there was anything she could do for her. Yet, the employee knew immediately that she would not be able to help her from the start. So she just wasted 30 minutes of her time and everyone else. This gesture may have seemed kind but it was a tactic she used to build up the waiting line outside the waiting room to 15+ people and then the employee came out to the line and gave a speech as how there was an over and hour wait (all while there was only maybe 8 ppl inside sitting down). She really emphasized all the alternatives that could be used instead of trying to do a walk in today. She was purposely making the place seem busier so people would get discouraged and leave. Especially because people at the back of the line can’t see that the waiting room is almost empty. She then the continued to take her time with each customer for maybe 30 minutes before going for lunch while a huge line of people waited. If you book an appointment you can have a good experience at service ontario but the downtown location is one of the only locations with this option and they are mostly full. Only one time slot was available when I went and fully booked on most days. The employees act like the phone line will help but all they can do is help you make sure you have the correct paperwork. Most of the time you will still need to go back to in person. This laziness and leisurely approach to each customer is seen again when you are helped at the front. No attempt to create a more professional and efficient environment. People’s time is not valued as a whole and the employees don’t care if they spend a day serving 20 people or 50. They’re just hanging out, snacking while they work, no attempt to seem professional in any manner. Just “hey bro, what do you need,… oh yeah, you’re gonna have to come back another time, we can’t do anything about that. Maybe try calling this number and seeing if they can help.”It’s the same problems with banking in person. They have a systemic approach to all these procedures with no knowledgeable manager on site who can overwrite stuff to make exceptions/ judgement calls. This leads to lack of accountability by all employees since they just go “sorry dude can’t help you.” and we have nobody here who can make a decision. have you tried calling? Ofcourse service ontario prefers for you to call as they move everything online and on the phone to reduce cost. This in person portion of the job will be removed and they will start slowly closing locations as they get everyone accustomed to other options and then it will be a person who you just drop documents off too and take a photo with. Making it even easier to remove the accountability of the poor service for the person at the location.

Way too slow completeling a persons request. Spent 3 and a half to change my healthcard back to Ontario from Mcp. And we still didn't get inside. Not near enough tellers. And its ridiculous I had to go too three different buildings to do my drivers license as well ohip card

I used the slick appointment function. When I showed up at my appointed day & time, there was a long line for those without an appointment and nobody in the line specifically for those with an appointment! I was in and out in under 5 minutes. The staff that served me were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Great experience.

Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and caring staff. However, the wait times are appalling at best; and that is a very generous statement. Only 1 (sometimes 2) staff members working at the kiosk. Line ups outside and inside.Administration members need to be replaced with more competent ones. This has been ongoing for quite some years now.

Horrible experience, I was waiting in line patiently, since 4:20 today right when it was 4:55 and it was my turn she said we’re not taking any more people. She still took 2 people ahead of me who were behind in line. Also lied to me saying she came out and told everyone at 4:45 that they weren’t taking more clients I was waiting in line. Horrible experience I am losing my job because of this and will be affecting me long term. would recommended nobody to come to this service ontario …don’t know her name but manager or someone ontop should fire her
