I recently started training here again after substantial time off from a multiple fractured wrist/scaphoid. After leaving Sarasota and relocating here ft, I was looking for a genuine and let's say no bs BJJ school in the lower mainland. We have been attending Marcus Sores Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a little over a year. The growth I have seen from my kids is amazing. Not many people get to train with the only red belt in Canada. Marcus' passion for teaching is evident!

Marcus is an excellent instructor, I came into BJJ with 0 knowledge and an open mind to learn more. After a few months I felt a lot more comfortable, learning the basics first to build a strong foundation has helped me immensely.

Marcus is an amazing teacher that gives instructions clearly, and thoroughly. His knowledge is unmatched, and there is no question he cannot answer. The higher belts are very high class in character, and in Jiu Jitsu. They are very willing to help and share their knowledge. Everyone is welcoming, and makes you feel a part of the team. Under Marcus you are getting world class teaching of Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu, you will gain confidence, and discipline, and get into shape. I am grateful that I am a student of Marcus, and thankful for the great teammates and friends I have met.

Marcus' vast knowledge of BJJ is evident is his ability to explain concepts and techniques in a clear, concise way that can be understood by both beginners and experienced students alike. Both Marcus and the senior belts are very approachable and always willing to share their knowledge with the rest of team. The overall atmosphere of the class is very welcoming and is one that I look forward to visiting week after week.

My son was intimidated his first class, Dana quickly noticed and helped him through it. I have been training with Marcus for over three years now. When one gets a new stripe or new belt with Marcus is because you earned it! Very friendly environment and a lots of knowledgeable guys and gals to learn from. Marcus is also great with kids. My seven year old girl is also training with him.
