I love these people!!We (at Amanda Douglas Events) got to be a part of their wedding (as their Coordinators) and I won't lie; when they started doing wedding film I was SO excited that I'd get to see them - and work with them - again!They are truly the best.The way they capture the moment, get right in their with their couples, and really become a part of the day. Evan and Tedi are AMAZING!!! They made our special day one to remember. So friendly, calm and the MOST fun. Tedi and Evan are the sweetest people who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. From our first meeting, they were instant friends, showing how much they value both you as a couple, your story, and the important aspects of your life. They come into your lives with a whirlwind of love, understanding and humor and you don't want to let them go! We got along with them wonderful, both during our sessions and other get togethers, our children and even our dogs love them! Not only do they do amazing work that has perfectly captured us, they have become friends who we value immensely! They take all of the concern about things being captured perfectly out of the equation and help you enjoy the planning.Evan makes the business side super easy to understand, Tedi brings the comfort and ease to the photos and together they become family! They are amazing!

Tedi and Evan are insanely talented, insanely detailed and driven, and insanely fun. Their work has captured our biggest life moments in such a unique and personal way, that has us laughing, tearing up, and happy dancing every single time we watch. But even above the work and memories they have provided for us, their personalities were the highlight of working with them. They brought so much fun and energy to our day and completely added to the warmth and love and excitement and everything that our day was.We are SO happy we chose the Picture and the Poet for our wedding videography, and so happy we now have two amazing new friends. I'm not sure we'll ever fully find the words to express just how incredible Tedi and Evan are. They really are two of the most friendly, hilarious, talented, hilarious, easy-going and thoughtful people... and the work they do is PURE. MAGIC!We have probably watched our wedding video 1000 times since receiving it, and truly love it more and more with every view. We had a shoot with Evan and Tedi at our cabin and it was such a fun time, they really brought the best out in us with their engaging, fun demeanor. This obviously resulted in the best pictures we've ever had of ourselves. They're all over our walls now! It's kinda weird how many pictures we put up...

What can I say about Tedi and Evan?! There aren't words to express how amazing these two truly are! They make what time you spend with them SO FUN and EXCITING. They capture moments that you will cherish forever and do it in a way that will pull every heart string you have. I love these two and so will you shall you get the pleasure to meet them. Professional, friendly, genuine and so fun! Two of the best people that you could have to capture your life's precious moments. If there was an option for 10 stars we would choose it.When I was recommended to look at Picture and Poet's website in 2018, they had 4 featured videos on their websites, the first one I watch (I forgot the couple's name) I cried. They know how to capture something authentic and real as if you're watching a movie. Then, I saw they offered photography too! Wow! I loved that they captured candid moments that weren't stiff or staged -- It was all real and authentic moments.Don't worry about not smiling during your shoots, they definitely make you laugh. Not only are Evan and Tedi fantastic at their craft, but they are amazing people to be around. We had cocktails at our first meeting and pizza before our engagement shoot. They're also professional, detailed, and have a great website to manage all the admin.We scheduled our wedding around having THEM available as our photo and video team. At our wedding, they really blended in with the crowd and were guests on our special day. We were so happy to have them join us.They also had three weddings the weekend we got married and we received a sampler of finished photos THE MORNING AFTER.Needless to say, we loved our film, our photos, and the overall experience.Thank you so much Tedi and Evan! <3

Our journey with Tedi and Evan began very shortly after I asked my wife to marry me. We decided to do engagement pictures at BDI ice cream-in. We used the bridge and the river side for their scenic value and caputed some fantastic shots. I was blown way by their ability to keep my two year old son engaged and having fun! Tedi and Evan were so good with Braxton, he loves them. Angela and I thought long and hard about how much to spend on photographers and which packages to pick and tedi and Evan exceed the value we paid. We got our money's worth and much much more. When my wife and I sat down and watched the video we were both so overwhelmed with happiness. They gave us a way to relive one of the happiest days of our lives. To be able to hear the sounds of the voices of our family's and laugh at the same jokes from that night was incredible. Things that can't be done with pictures. If your on the fence about the video don't make the mistake of missing out. Tedi and Evan were extremely professional and so enjoyable to be around. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for my family. They are a dream team.
