Mike Swift in the Nanaimo location had a difficult task finding all the parts for an older model perkins. A replacement unit was not available. It was decided to rebuild and repair. Mike got all the required parts in a timely manor and sorted the problem out. Well done, saved the owner thousands.

Had a question to ask about low oil pressure on an engine they had installed a few years ago for us, left a few messages and can’t get a call back. Questionable on how a company that deals with servicing equipment would have no one available in service to talk with.

It was always a professional experience working with Teryn and her team at Simson Maxwell. They always delivered on what they promised in a timely manner and they proved to be very accommodating!

A recent problem regarding power being restored to four condominium buildings in White Rock resulted in an after hours call being made to Simson Maxwell. Edwin responded with walking us through a procedure to properly transfer power from our diesel generator back to BC Hydro service. Edwin was both knowledgeable and patient, even phoning back the next morning to inquire how we made out. Great service and expertise!

I called to conform that they worked on Perkins Engines, service manager assured me they did so, There were injector pump issues, they pulled the pump, never marked the timing.... they were unable to get it running, had it over 6 months, would not give it back, they would not respond to my calls and emails, I had to have my lawyer draft a demand letter, then i picked the unit up, took it to a reputable mechanic who was able to fix it in a few days, was very very costly as it had to be taken apart to have the timing set, They are totally incompetent, please do you research before taking anything there .Had my unit for over 6 months for a 2 day repair job, and cost me thousands extra because they never marked the timing, incompetency at its peak. I would give zero star if possible.SincerelyEd
