this store has very deceptive sale pricing. the sale price is posted in big bold pricing but, when you get to the check-out you almost never get the sale price. usually it turns out that you must purchase at least 2 or 3 items to get the sale price. i have had this happen to me at least 50 times, and when i see sale items on the shelf i look to see if i have to purchase multiple items. even when i am sure that i only have to buy one item to get the sale price, i get to the check-out to find you must purchase 3. the multiple item pricing is in microscopic print. as a senior i feel this is deliberate fraud. 80 % of the time i realize it before i pay and have them remove the items. 20 % of the time i must go to the customer service line, wait for 15 to 20 minutes to return the items. I REFUSE to buy items that are deceptively priced. i live 2 blocks away from this store but i will no longer shop at this store until they post IN BIG BOLD LETTERS that you must purchase 3 items to get the sale price. sobeys may cost more but at least they clearly post their pricing.

Fast, friendly cashiers who don't give you an attitude or rush you through.I recently shopped at Freshco-then I remembered why I started coming to No Frills instead...

Update:I still shop here from time to time as it is economical, convenient and the customer service is excellent. However I still find their produce hit and miss. Recently purchased oranges and the whole bag was moldy within a day.When this place was owned by La Rosa, it was quite a bit better. The store was cleaner and better stocked.Now I find it dirty, and understocked. The overall quality of food is not the same as well.I wouldn't recommend going to this No Frills. There are many other grocery stores in the area that are much higher quality and with comparable prices.

Clean store and usually stocked with all or most of the advertised items. Staff pleasant to deal with if you have questions.Unlike some stores, the donation bin is conveniently located right at the checkout and I try to leave some non-perishable items in the Daily Food bank bin after shopping.

One of the worst grocery stores in Durham. Store is dark, cramped and overflowing. It’s an absolute mess and shopping there feels stressful! Poor management!

Cashiers here are very rude and not very helpful.I just wanted to exchange one item from a bunch of groceries I purchased, 3 Cashiers had to point me all over and telling me in a rude way to go back on the line, I do understand I have to wait, I just needed someone has to acknowledge me and advised me in a nice way that my concern will be dealt with properly.. actions and attitude speaks so much! Kind words and proper customer service will be much appreciated! Customer service is very poor!

Small No Frills with no actual meat of seafood counter. Very limited selection for seafood. But has your everyday essentials

Visited this place early in the morning (one hour after they open). Most of the items that were on the deal were out of the stock already. How is it even possible! Produce was not fresh. Most of the bread packets were expiring within 3-5 days. Staff is not every helpful. Especially this one cashier there, she is extremely rude. No greetings, will throw your items after scanning, extremely rude tone, will make a face if you ask her to match price. Manager/owner needs to give some training to this girl on how to provide customer service.

This is the best No Frills around!Their veggies and fruit are always fresh and last a long time.They are very helpful too.Thank you for being so close by too!
