Walkers Medical Pharmacy

Would give zero stars if I could. Wait times were okay, faster than any and most walk in clinics I’ve seen, that’s not what this review is pertaining to. My boyfriend and I came in so he could have a few stitches removed, and after only waiting for a few moments we were instructed to wait on a room down the hallway for about 15-20 minutes. Again, that is still faster than any medical clinic I’ve seen or been to. We’re chatting to waste time when suddenly a man who we’ve never seen nor spoken to walks into the room and all he says is “where are the stitches?” Okay, so no introduction. Seems pretty shy and somewhat unprofessional to me. Next he opens the sterile packaging containing the items that were to be used to remove the stitches..he wipes his nose with his bare hand before doing so. Opens the packaging without so much as putting on some gloves, or using hand sanitizer. I’m already appalled watching this situation unfold in-front of me, however, for the sake of not causing a scene I decided not to say anything at the moment. Then as he starts to remove the stitches, he’s using the hand he wiped his nose with to help hold my boyfriends hand still and he starts yanking at the stitches upward! My boyfriend is a pretty tough guy, but he was flinching and clearly in some amount of pain. This “doctor” ignored that. He cuts the first stitch, and throws it onto the counter behind him with no regard to biohazard standards..then does the same with the other stitch. Opens up an alcohol wipe, DROPS IT ON THE SAME COUNTER and then slaps it onto his hand (without actually wiping anything) and then says. “You’re good to go”. All in all, if we knew that this procedure was going was going to go down this way, we would have done it ourselves. At least then it would have been done under sterile conditions. This was absolutely the most disgusting practice of medical care I’ve ever witnessed, and I’ll be damned if I ever set foot into this place again.

My doctor’s office requires patients to still wear masks; which I am totally fine with. The doctor’s office had run out of them and directed me to the pharmacy desk across from them for one. They had an open box and they were charging $1 for each mask. Petty and bad business if you ask me. Out of principal, I went home and grabbed mine. I always used the pharmacy since my family doctor resided in the same building. Not anymore!

Had a prescription for a children's antibiotic filled here. The duration for the medication was for 5 days. After 2 days of use it was clear that the pharmacist made a mistake in the amount required and that there would be not enough for the duration of the prescription. After visiting the pharmacy to show the pharmacist the issue she was very condescending trying to blame us for not properly dispensing the medication. Tried to explain to the pharmacist that basic liquid measurement's is Grade 4 curriculum and that we know how to use a syringe. Pharmacist would not rectify the situation and was rude which we returned in kind.Will be filing a complaint with Ontario College of Pharmacist.

Sophie and the team at the pharmacy are incredibly wonderful. They are always very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

Excellent, well managed pharmacy and medical centre. Was very impressed by the quick, and friendly service. Would recommend this pharmacy if you live in the Burlington area!
