Very well organized camping. Staff is friendly and the beach is nice, it has affordable rentals (paddleboards, kayaks, pedalboats, ...).There are activities in the community center and at the beach.Convenience store is good. You might want to bring bikes, either for short or long rides.On-site restaurant is closed these days, but in the town, Lac Mégantic, there are several options. Please notice:-Most of the campsites are at 10-15 minute walk from the beach, but you can park your car right there.- Most of the campsites are very flat and covered with gravel, good for RVs, but if you are on a tent, you will feel the stones while not on a mattress.- From time to time you smell sewage.- Some campsites may be small for your needs.

This campsite is excellently maintained, clean, and well laid out. The amenities are among the best I've experienced at a large campsite including free showers, plenty of toilets, laundry facilities, plenty of activities for the kids including movies in the evening. All of the neighboring campers were respectful and pleasant. The beach is beautiful and the kids had a blast of swimming in Lac Megantic and playing in the soft sand. The on-site facilities offer everything a camping vacationer might want or need. Volleyball tournaments were on-going during our stay and there was a local company who were renting JetSkis and paddle boards beside the beach.I would definitely camp here again with family and friends.

Very nice campsite. The lots were close but very private and wooded. The beach was big enough with crystal clear, cold and refreshing water. The bathroom was too far away. They could install some privies closer by. A dish washing centre in the main area would be helpful. The animators for the children were not very friendly. Maybe they didn't like my English accent. We would go back here to enjoy the water and the campsite.

Stayed in one of the 4 rooms close the beach. It was almost perfect! Beach was great, staff was great and the room was very clean. Only issue with double beds. Investing in queen beds would make a HUGE difference and would make us go there every year. If you're any taller than 6 feet, forget it or bring a blow up bed... Other than that, really awesome spot!

I've been trying to find a time to visit the closest Canadian ski area to me, and the timing finally worked out Friday night. Baie des Sables (Sand Bay) is a T-bar served ski area a short way away from the town of Lac Megantic, and is part of a larger tourist resort with a variety of year-round activities. The ski area operates on relatively unique hours, and typically operates 6-10 on Friday night, although they were actually open until midnight the night I visited because of a winter festival that was going on.The ski area doesn't have a typical lodge, but tickets, rentals, bathrooms, and a small changing room are located on the lower floor of the restaurant building across the parking lot from the ski area. The skiing there is extremely affordable and cost us less than $15 CAD each. The slopes themselves are served by a very fast Samson T-bar which is one of the fastest I've ridden and allows for a lot of quick laps. This was my first time on a Samson lift, and the Ts have a much stronger spring than most other T-bars, which means you get a good pull when loading and they retract very fast when unloading. Overall, it's a very smooth and efficient ride.Pretty much everything except for one trail and the glades are open at night. To skier's right of the T-bar, there is a wide open slope with a terrain park along the right side. The trails to skier's left are very windy and narrow. They are some of the narrowest trails which I have seen lit up for night skiing and were very fun to ski. They had a lot of snow which had frozen pretty solid over the past few days due to rain and melting. On top of that was 2-3 inches of new light snow, and it was less icy than expected thanks to this new snow. It was a very fun ski area to visit, and it would be good to return during the day at some point to ski the many glades.

Highly recommended. We stayed at the camping place and you can walk to the beach.Very clean.Bathroom, showers, washer and dryer for your clothes, etc. All very clean. There is a guard at night and curfew at 11pm to avoid noise for other guests.Guests are nice as well.

One of the best run and maintained campgrounds I have ever visited. Nice and quiet between 11pm and 8am.
