I had a warranty required while traveling from out for town. The brake assist went on my truck and worried abiut a 5hrs drive home, I called John Bear and the Service Manager was absolutely phenomenal with getting me an appointment the same day. Transferring me over to Part to make sure parts were available and they took were amazing with responses and accurate information on how to help.Within 5 hrs of my call I was there, they had my truck in and fixed so I could safely make my trek home.Thank you so much!!!

If you’re looking to buy a car, go see Carmen at John Bear on Upper James! We recently bought our Buick from him, he was so helpful and kind ~ amazing customer service. I highly recommend going to Carmen. Carmen’s manager was also amazing, they went above and beyond to make purchasing our vehicle a good and smooth experience. I took my Chevy Equinox to have the transmission serviced (regular transmission fluid maintenance). After the job was completed I received an invoice showing parts as dexron VI and conditioner only. The filter, gasket and seal were replaced but not mentioned under parts! I asked the service advisor (Jonah Fournier) if they replaced the filter. He stated that my car was drain and fill and the filter was not replaced. Unexpectedly, their invoice showed that they did replace the filter. I contacted the service manager to verify the issue, and he explained that it was a clerical mistake and the vehicle does not have a filter. I checked the owner's manual which clearly advises changing the filter when servicing the transmission (see p. 294, section 10-14 Vehicle care). That said, I am assuming that none of the described services was conducted properly because it was drain and fill only. In other words, transmission pan was NOT removed and cleaned and gasket and seal were NOT replaced as stated in their invoice.

I have been taken my Equinox to this dealer for at least three years. It used to be a great customer service, but not anymore. I book an appointment for detailing and I got a call around 11:00am for letting me know that my fleet company did not authorize the service, but I agreed to pay it out of my pocket; however Catherine Ribero was pushing me to complete the alignment; I explained that I am replacing my tires in less than a month and it did not make sense to get it done with wear out tires. I ended up not accepting this service. The dealer gave a me call around 3:00pm to let me know that my car was ready for pick up; and what a surprise!!!. Catherine ended up completing the alignment without my authorization and charging this service to my lease company. On top of that they did not complete the detailing that was the reason I took the car to the dealer. Very very disappointed.

I highly recommend visiting Carmen at John Bear if you're in the market for a new car. Working with him was one of the best car buying experiences my family and I have had in many years. He displayed extensive knowledge and provided great attention to detail as he guided us through the entire process, from the first test drive to driving the car off the lot at the end of the sale.John, the Sales Manager, and Daron, from Financial Services, were also incredible. I cannot recommend this team enough if you are looking for a vehicle. They were especially accommodating and kind to our pup who came along with us for the car shopping experience.A big thanks to the team for their exceptional service and hospitality.

I didn't purchase a vehicle from this establishment however a friend of mine did. The car was sold as is" however turned out car was completely unfit and beyond repair. Great detail shop to make the car look nice and great sales guy to distract them from really seeing what they were getting themselves into. They basically left the lot and went straight to the scrap yard within 3 days of purchase. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I'd never buy from here and will tell everyone what kind of people you are.."
