The Lost Anchor
Absolutely LOVED our experience here. My boyfriend and I came here with our 2 friends on a chilly day, and sat inside. The atmosphere was very cottage-homey and noise level wasn’t too quiet / awkward or too loud for such a small space. From start to finish the hostess / servers were wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The food was very good, at reasonable prices. 2 had the captains (smash) burger, and 2 had the chicken sandwich. The table also ordered drinks, mussels, a summer salad, and 3 deserts. Bill was approx 250.00 for the table with tax and tip.Our friend from the UK was blown away by the bread pudding and said it’s the best he’s had in his two years in Canada. The summer salad dressing was the only thing we found could use an improvement, as we just found the Dijon Mustard was an odd flavor / the flavors didn’t mesh well for us, but no biggie at all! Maybe ask for their blueberry vinaigrette instead ☺️ Thanks for such an awesome evening! ♥️

Great stop in the Cavendish area. Had the lobster sliders and chowder and they were very good. Decent size patio for covered outdoor seating. There was also an area we could sit with our dogs and enjoy great service and a great meal. The music here was also great. Overall great ambiance and and vibe while we had lunch and enjoyed a cold drink. Noticed they also had an extensive cheese cake menu.

My wife and I were in for lunch recently and ordered the fish and chips (one piece) and seared scallops with mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts.The seared scallops were excellent and the beer battered fish and chips were the best I've had on the Island to date. Between the fresh cut fries made with local potatoes and the glassy beer batter you can't go wrong.It's nice to have access to local restaurants like The Lost Anchor that place food quality and customer service at the top of their priorities.This is my new go to for fish and chips.Keep up the good work Mandy and team.

A group of us ate there tonight (adults and children) and the food was amazing! The chicken burger was huge and so good and the food all came quickly. The service was above and beyond (we had Denise and cannot say enough good things!) Denise recommended the Tiramisu for dessert and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was very family friendly and inviting! We are already planning to go back next week! Highly recommend!

Absolutely DELICIOUS food. Beautiful distant view of the water, the waitresses were attentive and checked on us lots to make sure everything was still good. Food came out fast, and the breeze on the upper patio was refreshing in the corner. I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone. I had the lobster Mac and Cavy breeze and both were delicious.

Excellent local restaurant in the heart of Cavendish!Portions are large, and there are plenty of vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options available.Their patio has two levels, so lots of room to enjoy the sunshine with a local beverage and fresh lobster. They also have high chairs and coloring/crayon activities for children.Strongly recommend the red pepper dip to share with friends. Their fish and chips are generously portioned with big slabs of fish and great fries! Burrito bowl is just fair - would have liked the beans and rice to be warmer so it would help melt the shredded cheese but it was still tasty with their comeback sauce".Overall a nice dine-in option when you're in the area visiting or on vacation."

Went in with kids and friends for supper. Greeted and seated quickly and warmly. Drinks arrived promptly as did our food. Kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and fries and I loved my Southern Chicken Sandwich and fries. I didn't have room for dessert but others had the cheesecake and tiramisu with glowing reviews. Would definitely go back!

All I can say is “holy sh*t!” I personally thanked the chef for making me question everything in my life that brought me to where I am. The scallops were a life altering dish, and the locally sourced garlic mashed potatoes were a perfect accompaniment, alongside the fresh asparagus.The staff were friendly, attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect.I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!-John, Jen, Calvin & Madi.
