Le Germain Hotel Ottawa

My husband and I had a staycation at this beautiful hotel last night. The room was spacious, modern, gorgeous and had a very comfortable bed. What really stood out at this hotel was the attentive staff. The gentleman who checked us in was very thoughtful. Customer service in all areas was first class! We had a lovely time, and we highly recommend this hotel to both visitors and locals.

Very chique boutique stay, including funky rooms, personal attention to your visit. Extreme comfort in the bed and bedding. Amenities in the room are top notch. There was some loud banging throughout the evenings, but that is possible in any hotel! Close to everything and secure underground parking.

This hotel is luxurious, and is super-modern. It has a very high level of service from everyone who you deal with. Every evening there was a turn-down service and we got left water and herbal tea. The location is good and within a five-minute walk there are several coffee shops and a large shopping mall.We had a room with blinds that went up electronically. There is a good espresso machine in the room and a modern elegant chair. The wifi was very good, and there was a good desk to do work at in the room.The bathroom is beautiful but it took us 24 hours to get use to it being part of the bedroom.

Absolutely amazing time spent here as always. Staff are amazing, kind and very helpful. Beautiful rooms and view. I wanted to say an extra thank you to Malak, Dominic and Tony. They went well above and beyond to make our stay that much better, it was greatly appreciated and meant a lot tomy wife and I.Thank you very much

The only concern we had about our stay was the safety of the location. Le Germain is located kitty corner to the men's homeless shelter. There were a lot of vagrancy and pan handlers within a 3 block radius.However, we came and went at all hours and never had an issue.The staff were wonderful and helpful. Many great restaurants and bars within walking distance.

I came here for a work trip, and this was the hotel I was most looking forward to on this trip. I was disapponted. Here are the highlights;1. Dirty qtips in bathroom hygeine bundles2. Dirt left in the corner of my room3. Very distasteful display of furs on the front lobby couches and4. Horrible, and i mean horrible, service at front desk.The service - at check out, I requested my invoice be emailed. The guy working the front desk told me it would be too inconvenient for him as he would have to reboot his entire system and it would take a couple minutes since he already clicked to checked me out (i was not in a rush myself). I was genuinely shocked. A quick reminder to the hotel - we are guests and we shouldnt have to scan our receipts when you can email them to us. I`ve never heard of this happening at a hotel in my life. Further on the bad service point, I was on this trip with a colleague who was on her first work trip and was not aware that she needed to submit the hotel receipts to be reimboursed. She checked out just before me and I thought I noticed she didnt ask for a copy or get a printed receipt, so during my check out I also asked the same man who didnt want to email me my invoice if my colleague recieved a copy of hers, to which he clearly told me yes, he had her email on file and emailed it. When I met my colleague minutes later in the parking she confirmed that she did not provide her email and we went back to get her invoice from a different agent working the front desk who was much nicer. Really unprofessional service. I dont recommend this hotel.Positives: nice gym.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful guest service reps. The room was spacious & clean, but my sink had some drainage issues. Much like most hotels, the view was limited (which was okay, as I was at the conference centre the majority of the time).The location is central and next to the Ottawa Art Gallery and a block from CF Rideau Centre. There are plenty of restaurants nearby - which is great for the morning, because I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast buffet. The eggs had a slimy texture, as did the bacon - and even the fruit. I did go for an evening beverage, which was okay and yet very pricey). The women’s washroom was not marked as out of service, but was locked… which was a bit of an inconvenience.All in all, a pretty good experience.

Good- Rooms are spacious and decently updated. Staff worked to get us fixed up as our AC unit wasn't working. Changed rooms and all was good! Free champagne in our room due to the inconvenience of switching.Customer service is their goal and they make the visual attempt to satisfy their goal.

Went with my wife for our anniversary. Loved the room!! This was one of our favorite hotels we've been to. Mostly just the room was exactly what we were hoping for. Had a really cool glass shower with soaker tub, giant TV and a great view on the top floor. The staff was fantastic and accommodating.
