McCarthy Uniforms

Ordered November 16. Was told they are going to ship Nov. 25, still in process" on Dec. 1st...so I emailed them looking for an update. They said the 6th....looked this morning (Dec 8th) and it still says "in process". My son needs clothes for his school. Not sure why it is taking so long.I'm not looking for them for free or anything but a refund of some kind would be nice as I had to purchase shirts off someone from Facebook."

Had the most positive experience at McCarthy's. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Continuing clean as we were there. Thank you for making our first visit awesome.

Ordered shirts online. Website said they were in stock. A week later called to find out when the order would be shipped. Told it takes 2 - 4 weeks. Then was told that the web site was incorrect and they were not in stock. So no actual ETA on the shipment. Not pleased with the site or lack or disclosure on the web site. Inquired if the Peterborough store had stock as the website said yes, was told no. So if I based my purchase, with driving 50km to the store, would have been a waste of time also. Apparently, they have a new supplier since Jan 2017. Obviously not working. Shame, loved the quality. Can't image how a family is coping to get a uniform for a 1st year student.

***You might want to update the store hours on your Peterborough store hours...apparently they are closed on Tuesday and Thursday now.A waste of a trip out there today.Head office customer service is also pitiful.!Enjoy you day!We have special ordered" pants with an elastic wait for a student with special needs twice. The first pair took 4 months to arrive and were not hemmed. We just recieved a second pair which came in less than one month which were very pleased to have them for the start of school but were dissapiponted that we recieved pants unhemmed with a 36" unfinished inseam which need to be shortened to a 28"inseam.The salesperson sent an email directly to the seamstress requesting the pants be hemmed.The cost of having 2 pair of pants altered is almost the price of 1 pair of pants. Not impressed. I am disappointed by the customer service and the extent to which they are ready to help. We buy uniforms worth hundreds of dollars but if we miss a chance to clam the voucher in time it's gone forever. They don't even consider once. That is disappointing for me but have no choice but to buy uniforms from them only.

Had a great experience at McCarthy's today. Was getting my daughter fitted for grade 9 uniforms. The staff (Alexis?) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Made the whole process quick and easy for us.

This is a frustrating system for a single dad having to get school uniforms for a growing teenager. They never seem to have their store open during weekdays when I am able to make it to Peterborough, so I have to pay an extra $15 in shipping in order to get these clothes...which makes it take a lot longer and make it even more expensive than if I were to pick them up. This store should open on varying hours if it can't be open all the time (for example...Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday every 1st and 3rd week of the month...Monday, Wednesday, Friday every 2nd and 4th week of the month). I live well outside of Peterborough so can't make it during their current limited" store hours."

Absolutely the most horrendous system we have dealt with. The local staff in PTBO were pleasant and did their best, but clearly they have no training or support on how their system works. In my opinion this is what happens when you give one company a monopoly over anything, in this case school uniforms, and they don't care about customer service. My wife called CS and they said she was not allowed to cancel an order, so we just went to the local Peterborough store.... A discrepancy of a pencil case bar code kept us at the counter for 20 minutes while the very kind employee tried to sort it out with her manager using which appeared to be her personal iPhone. This company does not deserve the contract, and I need to wonder why it even has it? Why can't we simply get school uniforms from Amazon?

Great customer service! Breanne was very helpful and attentive. She is very good at what she does and really seems to care that my children were comfortable with what we purchased for them. Store was clean and well organized. Wish they had full time hoirs instead of odd days open.

Updated review after warranty:Clothing is not made to be durable even on a delicate cycle (washer and dryer) but there is a warranty in place. It isn't ideal but is better than no return policy whatsoever.Staff are polite and customer service is top notch.Pictures show loose stitching after three weeks of daily wear.
