Halenda's Meats Oshawa - Nelson (Head Office)

Very disappointed. I had to go to this location because every other butcher in Oshawa is closed on Mondays. I was looking for a chuck roast. The lady helping me didn't know what that was or what would be comparable (a blade roast). When I asked her to ask the butcher she finally acknowledged that it was a shoulder cut and told me they don't sell shoulder cuts. I've purchase a blade roast before from the North Oshawa location so I was surprised the main store wouldn't have it or know what it was. I would think that a company that calls themselves Halenda's MEAT would know a little bit about what they sell. I had to drive all the way out to Kyle's Quality Meats in Bowmanville where the gentleman behind the counter knew exactly what a chuck roast was and was pleased to cut one for me. I will never return to Halenda's because they just don't know their product.

Great location, a bit less choice than other locations but its less busy and one still gets the family business butcher shop feel. Very friendly staff and always fresh high quality meats.

We ordered a turkey from the Whitby store and they cut it into pieces for us when my husband picked it up. I can't tell you how much that helped. And it sounds like the place was VERY busy at the time.Their customer service consistently goes above and beyond. Good quality meats and wonderful staff.

Very disappointed finding out halenda's has open a big production facility, that explains why the quality of the natural kolbassa has gone down hill so much. Unfortunately when companies start mass production they throw their quality out the window. Luckily they have great service, but unfortunately with them giving up the quality for greed is what usually ruins businesses.

I always return to Halenda’s for their amazing cuts of meat because I know they have quality, skilled butchers and staff on their team preparing the meat. I especially love their Kabanosy! Continue with the amazing food and smiles.Ron;)

Cutest meat shop in the city! They make the best pierogi's! Worth checking out!

There aren’t many butcher shops around and Halenda’s helps provide a quality place to go for fresh meat. Went here based on a friend’s recommendation and got hot dogs and buns, schnitzel, boneless skinless chicken breasts and tater tots. We’ll be back to get other meat next time. Looking forward to it!

This is a great spot for a home-cooked style lunch during your workday. The prices are reasonable and the food is good.

love your store in Bownmanville staff is amazing shop there 2 or 3 times a week and sometimes take orders from friends and pick up there meat wish there was a location closer Cobourg or Port Hope I know you would have a fantastic client base
