Amazing!!! Absolutely amazing! I loved every bite of my taco plate. The salsas were so fresh. Martin was so kind and explained everything so well. He's so passionate about his cooking. Definitely will be back.

This is going to be a different kind of review, as I have yet to actually eat there. I met Martin & Kelly as they visited our baby clothing business in Ottawa's ByWard Market during Canada Day weekend. We had a great little chat and when talk turned to their restaurant - I was more than impressed by his passion and talent. One look at their pictures and you automatically know it's authentic Mexican!Will update this review once we make the trip from Ottawa!

As a person from Mexico I can say these tacos are authentic and the best ones you can try in Peterborough. I have been at this place in different occasions and all of those times they reminded me the flavour of home. You must try jarritos with the tacos and different salsas!

Was not expecting to eat the best tacos I’ve ever had today, but that’s exactly what happened when I walked into this place. I got the Taco Trio and each one of them was do delicious. Loved them so much I had to buy some hot sauce on the way out as well. I’m kind of glad I don’t live nearby because the food they serve here could become an addiction. My mouth is still burning and I love it!

Got the 2 can dine combo, 3 tacos and a mango salad each. The mango salad was incredible, definitely the star of the show for me, the tacos a close second, both so flavourful. Honestly could be the best Mexican food I have ever had.Furthermore, we had the pleasure of being served by the owner who was beyond genuine and kind, you can hear and see the passion he carries for what he does in the way he treats his customers.Me and my girlfriend could not stop talking about the food or the owner the whole way home, if you’re in Peterborough… come here. You will not be disappointed.

One of the absolute best Mexican Taco restaurants in or out of Mexico.I've been to many and I have to say that the food is delicious with quality ingredients and the service is excellent.Having experienced many Mexican restaurants, it's obvious they put time and effort doing it right, and you can immediately taste the difference.Looking forward to coming back next time we are in town.

Adictive food. Super friendly owner/chef. It's affordable to top it off. Wish I took photos to share of the authentic Mexican tacos we devoured. I've been to Mexico several times, and it was like I was there again. This restaurant makes traditional fresh dishes that are nothing like the canadianized Mexican food I've had everywhere else. Try it once, and it will become a weekly staple for a quick lunch or takeout to enjoy at home with a cerveza.

TLDR; This is the best Tacos in town.I have travelled and tried all sorts of Tacos from Toronto to Texas to Mexico itself and it was hard to find tacos that are made authentically with wonderful flavour at a reasonable price.La Mesita Mexican Restaurant was able to exceed my expectations. The decorations are traditional and the chef/owner is tremendously friendly and recommended 3 delicious tacos that the moment they hit my palette instantly transported me back to my vacation in Mexico.The wide variety of meats as well as vegetarian options makes this spot a stellar restaurant for any occasion and I would absolutely recommend this location to my friends and family. I cannot stress how authentic, filling and flavourful the tacos were. If you want the genuine taco experience this is the place!I look forward to coming here again especially to try their other taco options.
