Starstruck Labradors

Starstruck produces amazing dogs. Their focus on the health and genetic diversity of their lines really sets them apart from other breeders. My pup is 5 months now and is a calm pup with an amazing temperament and has been a dream to train. People are always shocked at how calm she is for a pup. Would recommend to anyone interested in a lab.

We have been looking to get a puppy for a while and after researching lots of breeders we settled on Starstruck. We could not be happier with our decision! Valina and Carleton were professional and fantastic at communicating with us from the get-go. You can tell they care very deeply about their dogs and that they are have put a lot of work into breeding the healthiest and happiest animals they can. They have been a great resource and support even after bringing our puppy home - I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a lab breeder!

We have had the pleasure of welcoming to our home a beautiful and sweet female chocolate lab from Starstruck Labradors, who we have named Sophie. She was born October 8, 2021 and we have had her for eight months now. She has an incredible temperament - very confident and happy. She is not phased by anything and is incredibly friendly with every living thing she meets. While I know many of these characteristics are a testament to the breed in general, it is also clear that she was socialized and imprinted well in her first few months of life at Starstruck. On top of this, thus far she has been incredibly healthy and does not exhibit any allergies.Starstruck Labradors was recommended to us by friends who have had two of their dogs and also speak incredibly highly of them. Starstruck has made the entire process very positive and seamless. During our initial planning, prior to bringing Sophie home, we had a number of lengthy conversations with them where they answered all of our questions in great detail. They prioritize the health of their dogs, implementing a number of strategies with the goal of increasing lifespan and quality of life. This has the added bonus of producing aesthetically beautiful dogs. Prior to bringing Sophie home, they gave us access to a library of information on their website that included step-by-step how-to and recommendations for everything from training, to health care, food, toys, etc.Sophie is in Starstruck's guardian program, meaning she may be used for breeding. There a number of benefits of this program including financial incentives and free boarding with Starstruck. Where to start! I initially found Starstruck Labradors when I was looking for a silver lab from an ethical breeder. I reached out and got a response quickly. Although it was not the one I was hoping for, V&C were very thorough in their explanation as to why they did not have any upcoming litters with this gene. After seeing photos of their dogs and looking through their website, I knew this was the breeder for me! I have never been a fan of the Americanized" labs that you see every day. But every so often you see the square headed athletic lab and can't help but fall in love! Starstruck labs are absolutely stunning. They are everything a lab should be and demonstrate the huge difference in quality versus the back yard breeders and poorly bred labs of today.V&C were so patient with me and answered all my questions (there were tons) back and forth for a year before I even put a deposit down. They never pressured me to purchase

We couldn’t be happier with our puppy! Carleton and Valina really care about the pups and are very ethical breeders. They answered all our questions and made bringing home our girl easy by offering a puppy package so we could just take her home and enjoy. I love that they are there for any questions and truly care. Anyone who is thinking about a Lab we highly recommend Starstruck Labradors, gorgeous pups!!!

My experience with Starstruck has been absolutely incredible! Carleton and Valina both go above and beyond to ensure that their precious pups are placed in the best homes possible and we are incredibly grateful to have one of their wonderful pups in ours.When we first started looking for a puppy to add to our family we were searching through many breeders that we didn't feel quite hit the mark when it came to their focus on health and temperament. When we came across Starstruck we were blown away by the dedication and attention to detail that they have to their dogs health and genetics.Throughout the application process Starstruck was happy to work with us on what we were looking for and answer any questions we had, as well as the huge support that they offer after you take one of their dogs home, for the rest of the dogs life. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a solid, healthy, level temperament pup to look no further than this amazing breeder.

When our thirteen year old dog died at the end of March this year, we knew that we would need a puppy. We researched breeders in both BC and Alberta and were impressed by the ethical breeding standards of Starstruck Labradors. Valina and Carleton were not trying to produce show dogs or field dogs - their aim is to breed good, healthy, family dogs, with diverse genetics so as to avoid the health and personality problems that have arisen from overly selective breeding of the English and American strains of Labrador. By crossing these two lines they aim to produce hybrid vigour in purebred labradors. So we paid our deposit and waited. Two weeks ago we picked up our yellow lab puppy Arnie. I will just say that they have nailed it. Arnie is a delightful dog - bright, curious, friendly and submissive to humans and confident and deferential with other dogs. He has great energy and is easy to train. He is also very handsome. I cannot recommend Starstruck Labradors to highly. I know it is hard to wait to get a puppy, but these puppies are worth the wait.

We have had 2 experiences with Starstruck - first to adopt a new pup into our family. I like that we had access to the dogs, Carleton and Valina were amazing - kind, knowledgable and more interested in making sure that the pup was going to the right home vs. just adopting out. Our second experience was having an older puppy re-homed to us - I actually felt that Carleton and Valina were more protective and rigorous with this little girl to ensure that we could love and help her grow up properly. Both have been readily available to help and were always willing to answer questions about the dogs. I have in good conscience recommended Starstruck to friends. I have happy, healthy, well adjusted, easy to train labs.

They make you feel like family from the get go and we’ll be Starstruck family for a long time to come. Once little Oliver gets older we’ll begin the wait for his little brother. I did my research in the search for my next Labrador retriever after losing my 12 year old black lab in 2019 and from here in Kelowna BC to Saskatchewan you won’t find anyone as passionate about raising these beautiful dogs. One conversation with Valina and her love for these dogs will have you feeling like this is it.

We couldn’t be happier with our 2 guardian puppies from Starstruck! Valina and Carlton run an amazing program! They are kind, genuine souls and offer incredible support!We got Healy in October 2019. She was definitely an Angel sent from above. Our previous lab had passed four months before we got her and we were looking for a friend for our other dog Spartacus. When we met Healy we knew instantly that she was the one! Bouncy, playful, loving and full of puppy energy! Exactly what we wanted as an active hiking family! She was the perfect fit!Fast forward 1.5 years later and we started looking for another addition for the Family. Spartacus our Ridgeback was unfortunately diagnosed with a non treatable cancer. We weren’t sure how much time we would have left with him and with Healy being a social butterfly, we knew she would need a companion. During the time Spartacus was sick (August-March), Valina took time out of her busy schedule often to offer advice, or even just to listen as we struggled with this awful diagnosis. Although Spartacus wasn’t one of their’s, they still considered him part of the Starstruck family. This blew me away. The compassion they showed was unreal and I don’t believe I would have gotten this from any other breeder.Sadly, Sparty passed just before Piper arrived. We picked up Piper 2.5 weeks ago and she has been the light we needed during this hard time. She’s the sweetest little munchkin! I believe she was meant to be Healy’s baby sister. The two are inseparable and the love is undeniable!I couldn’t thank Valina and Carlton enough for these two beauties. They are both well rounded, friendly, playful, gorgeous pups. Everything you could want! I highly recommend Starstruck Labs to anyone looking to add a wonderful family member into their lives! You will not be disappointed!
