Done-Rite Tire & Auto

I would give zero stars to this place. I came here for a simple wheel alignment and they said my truck needed a bunch of work (I just had it safetied two months prior). And they were going charge me “a lot” for all this “work.” After going here I went back to my dealership and they said everything is fine. Don’t trust this place they will steal your money. Tried to charge me $80 for having it on the hoist for 10 minutes. Wont be back and don’t recommend

Today, I dropped my Mustang at Done-Rite as our had a screw pierced into the passenger front tire. Later they found out that it was just a screw-head & it didn't even go through the tire. It didn't had a puncture & they checked all the tires & assured that all they're good. They actually did an amazing job & treated me with courtesy & didn't even charge me a penny. They even provided a shuttle vehicle to drop me back. There was 2 awesome guys who helped me with these, one of those was MJ. Me & my friends always do tire-swaps from this place. I really appreciate the work & do suggest for all.

I was really impressed with the team that water proofed our basement. They had to drag a huge pile of dirt out, that had been piled for years (I assume as it was there when I purchased the house recently), which had hardened into a cement like pile. It took three day and a pick axe, carrying buckets up and down the stairs, to their dump trailer outside. They never complained, always seemed to be laughing and enjoying their work. And they cleaned any mess they made every day before they went home. My basement is now dry and usable. Thank you

Update: April 9, 2023. 5 years later, it's still going strong.July 2017. I was a broken down traveler in Thunder Bay (expensive twin turbo failure).Done-Rite was the third attempt of getting my car fixed.The first shop's quote was ridiculous and sketchy (suspected of being on commission)I moved on.The second shop exploited my dilemma and handed over my car at closing time on a Friday (closed on weekends) and then scatered. 10 km later, I had to get towed again. Not only did they exploit a traveler, they completely botched the job and made it worse.Enter Done-Rite.Done-Rite looked at my vehicle on a Saturday and gave me an honest, straight foreward run down on repairs needed.Done-Rite done it right. Done-Rite repaired the mess, found missed repairs needed and gave me my car early so I could give it a thorough 'test drive'.3,000 km later, my car is running great (knock on wood). They even picked me up when the car was ready.This review is aimed at stranded travelers. If you are broken down in Thunder Bay; GO TO DONE-RITE.

I know this review coming from a regular guy isn't worth a lot but.... the folks at this business are second to none. My family and I were on a cross country journey as I was being moved for work, we hit something on the highway the day before and popped our tire. Nothing was open that evening so I woke up first thing to call Done-Rite when they opened, they were across from the hotel so out of shear convenience. Come in and we'll have a look". I got there

Driving through on a long distance trip, my vehicle had a raddle and the dealership could not get me in. I took my vehicle to this shop who was fortunately able to look at my vehicle right away. They were able to diagnose the problem very quickly and determined a part had come loose. Thankfully for this shop we were able to get on the road and continue on our way. The employees were very kind and they even had a treat for my dog.

It's been 7 years since I first reviewed Done-Rite Tire & Auto and still no response. I still say stay clear of these up sellers.

It was the first winter blast of the year, and I've been dragging my arsh in getting winter treads. I was in the city for my precious' surgery and I need these winter tires to safely travel home 2.5 hours west. I called a few places to get quotes and availability. All the places I called were outrageous prices and couldn't even do the job same day. We were waiting out the remainder of this storm shopping around and cruising when I heard their advertisement on a local radio station (it seemed like they were sending this message to me specifically lol you know how that goes) so I called. Not only was it the cheapest rate, they had agreed to do it same day for me in consideration of my situation (they were clearly very busy). The shuttle happily gave us a ride to intercity where we barely had time to shop before they were ready for us. Super friendly and observed a happy hard-working crew! So grateful!I confidently drove my exhausted, just want to get home, family back to our abode before it was even bed time after a major snow storm hit the area. This is the first time I have ever gone through the trouble to give a review" for anything. They deserve 5 stars from this guy. Thanks

I've had bad experiences with shops like H&H who caused damage to my 4x4 and rear differential because of their working on my brakes and tie rods so I'm honestly scared to take my truck anywhere. I went into Done Rite looking for an appointment due to having gone to them through work when I sold cars and always had a great experience.Their employees were amazing from the young lady at the front desk and the gent who shuttled me like a fancy princess to get my truck. They didn't pressure me about the other millions of issues with my truck, they did the calipers and brakes and boom the service was done and I am so appreciative.What I really super appreciate is their workmanship, here we are a week later and no issues, the job was done well. Thanks guys

Always a pleasure dealing with Done Rite. The staff are awesome! You won't find a nicer spot to have your car serviced in Tbay. A tire change and a new hat. Thanks guys!
