I was a long time client with MV. I have always had issues with the front desk's customer service, but I kept going because the veterinarians were great imo.The worst experience was my last, in March, when I finally had to put my senior kitty to sleep. For the procedure they ask you to pay up front and I did, approximately $900.00. I waited weeks for my girls paw prints to arrive (that I had already paid for). When I got the phone call to pick them up, they told me I still had to pay the ~$900 for the euthanasia/prints/cremation. I told them I paid already and have bank statements showing I did. I had already gotten my cats ashes back. The receptionist told me I couldn't get my cats paw prints until she spoke with her manager, even if I had receipts/bank statements proving otherwise. I was already in a delicate frame of mind having to pick up my beloved cat’s last mark on this world and this was another stressor/horrible thing to have to deal with. It felt like they were keeping the last thing I had of my cat from me after putting her to sleep a few weeks prior. And I couldn't pay another $900. The lady called me back and said it had been an error on their part and apologized (with no remorse what-so-ever in her voice). After I picked up my girls prints and saw her little paw prints, I just started sobbing in my car outside of the clinic. This mistake wasn't that big in the grand scheme of things, but it affected me a great deal during one of the worst times in my life. I get mistakes happen but the front desk were always making mistakes like this. Someone could have verified the $900 balance owing before calling me and threatening to withhold my cats paw prints. Sometimes I'd get random charges on my invoice randomly that I had to dispute, and sometimes they'd say their prices were more than they originally charged me for, they'd forget to fill my prescription...etc. and they'd just blame it on being busy. They would have an attitude too and act like I had no right to be frustrated. I waited until now to write this review, because I wanted to do it when I wasn't upset. But I think MV needs to address the way the front desk is being managed.

Our first visit for our new dog to this vet clinic was disappointing. First off this is not our first dog in our family so we do know what we should be expecting for a check up. The first examination was no where near thorough, especially my dog is a rescue dog with no history to follow. They only assume the issue is allergy when I told the vet “it could be allergy” the vet did not check and diagnose. They didn’t even seem want to touch my dog at all. They insist me to get all sorts of meds and injections without any other options until I asked them (my last dog had allergy so I have the knowledge). When I asked what was included in their $99 exam fee, and wonder why they did not perform everything in front of me, they claimed most dog will be calmer at the back but then they said my dog wasn’t in fear at all so why not be clear and do everything in front of the owner. So I am still in doubt whether they had also done the regulars such as eyes teeth, body (since my dog is a tripawd),They tend to be very hard sell and push us to get more meds than what I think we need, and urged us not to feed raw even I told them I had an healthy dog who passed away at 17 who was in raw too.And note that when they tell you for a recheck, it is not included like other vets. You need to pay for another fee after the medication is done. But I refused them and I will go back to my last vet which is further but way passionateLast feedback to the vet, it is unprofessional for not introducing yourself and greet the owners and the pet by names at the first meetup, we do not even know who the vet is and my dog did not even got greeted by name until they need to call his name to pay the bill.In my opinion, I did not get the expected professional service and advice for what I have paid for, I had to ask to get the info that I want. Might not be an issue for some people but my dog and I have been treated a lot more professionally from another vet. In here I thought I had met a sales, not a vet or specialist.

I couldn’t recommend this clinic more. My senior cat’s health was declining significantly until she saw Dr. Ferguson. Her energy levels and appetite greatly improved thanks to Mountainview.Thank you to Dr. Ferguson and her amazing staff for giving me more years with my fur baby. I know they work tirelessly and always have their client’s best interests at heart.

I have never been so disappointed in a vet. I was told to wait 4 days for their next available appointment and to get ear cleanser for my pup who had an ear infection. This was not something that could wait, it rapidly got worse within a day. A previous time they had no patience or empathy towards my pup and was told she needed to be sedated for her annual shots. Fortunately, I found a vet who had no issues giving my pup shots and the care she needed for her ear infection and after hours in fact! I will not recommend this place.

Unfortunately, I have never had a good experience with the front desk staff here and always left feeling like I was not important. Two years ago I took my cat here for a routine check-up and they were concerned for his health. They recommended blood tests, x-rays and an ultrasound as his health was declining rapidly.Sadly, I did not hear back from Mountain View for the ultrasound specialist appointment until three months later, when he had already passed away at that point.Thankfully, I was able to find a different vet for a second opinion who made our cat a main priority and got him for his scans right away. Although the outcome was unfortunate, we at least found a vet that provided us with the support we needed.

The team at mountain view has been providing exceptional medical care to my 2.5year old dog since she was a puppy. I appreciate their fear free vet practices and that Dr. Ferguson always takes the time to listen to our concerns and provides clear, concise explanations of our dogs medical conditions and treatment options.

Super disappointed, use to love this vet and would recommend to anyone and everyone that asked me. My last visit there definitely changed that, and it’s likely cause we didn’t see the Dr Ferguson, although my kittens appointment could not wait for her next availability so receptionist requested I see Dr. Behm and I agreed.I was extremely disappointed being forced into doing blood work on my already anemic kitten, who was released two days prior from Boundary Bay after a 2 1/2 week, just for the doctors to ‘see’ what the levels were at. Clinically my kitten was doing GREAT, but that was not enough for Dr. Behm, I fought and finally agreed to it but only to a half panel because I didn’t want ANY blood taken from her but Dr. Behm wouldn’t have been okay with it. After the appointment and consulting with Boundary Bay no bloodwork should’ve ever been performed and only what was instructed on the discharge instructions, which I guess wasn’t clear to Dr. Behm? So she took it upon herself to decide what’s best over specialists discharge instructions. Very upsetting that she only cared for her own curiosity and not for any actual reason. Then of course the results weren’t the best so she caused more stress on my family even though clinical signs indicated HUGE IMPROVEMENTS.During the visit we expressed concerns with her ears. Dr. Behm looked at them and passed it off for ‘food’ and started cleaning them out. They were full of gunk! A few days after the appointment I go to Boundary Bay and the Specialists were able to say it it’s ear mites without even examining under a microscope because that’s how big the infestation was and could see them moving. Extremely disappointing Dr. Behm was not able to catch that instead my cat was left with a growing infestation of ear mites for an extra few days.Bre the manager followed up with my concerns, all they would offer was an apology for missing the ear mites, a refund for the revolution treatment and any future appointments would be with Dr. Frugeson, but how the situation was dealt with resorted to us finding a new family vet. As for the bloodwork Dr. Behm was still adamant she did the right thing as it was necessary to ensure she was still improving health wise. My cat had a deadly virus that caused havoc on her body, clinically she was doing great yet that was still not enough for Dr. Behm. Both her WBC & RBC were of concern yet, still I was recommended no treatment to fix the low RBC and high WBC so then why do the bloodwork?

We used to like taking our pets here and have recommended it to many friends over the years, but our last few appointments have been super disappointing. Our dog is very fearful of the vet and it’s obvious before we even make it in to the building. On our last visit we were placed in a room with EXTREMELY loud construction happening on the other side of the one wall. It was so loud the vet and I could not hear each other. I had to keep asking her to repeat herself over and over and still couldn’t hear over the noise. I asked for recommendations for possible causes for my dog’s ear infection as it had happened before and was given zero guidance or help. For a clinic that claims to be a Fear Free certified they completely failed at making my clearly scared dog safe and set her up for more fear while choosing to put us in an room that was far too loud for any appointment to be successful. It made our decision to find another vet pretty clear.

We have gone to this clinic since Molly was a puppy and she is now a year old. We have spent over $2061.00 since 7 Feb 22 (just over a year) in Vet Fees with them. The past two days our dog has had diarrhea and vomiting. I phoned this morning to see if they could just look at her for fifteen minutes and see what was wrong. They told me they were too busy. I phoned another clinic and they were able to see her. Totally disappointed in these people at Mountainview. We will be looking elsewhere for a more caring establishment.
