We hired A&A Renovations and Constructions for bathroom renovations, installing several pot lights, painting hallway and bathroom, some electrical work and minor repairs. They were able to start on October 25th, 2021.After they were completed, they had to come back to finish work that should have been completed in the first place. For example, we had a window in the bathroom removed. And in the other side in the solarium, there was a good inch gap between the bricks and drywall and the screws were not puttied over. The caulking from the window was not removed. It looked half finished. They did leave a mess behind. You would think if you are painting the walls, door frames and baseboards that you would also paint the doors. They didn’t know that the doors should be included in the painting and had to come back to finish. The pot lights were not flush with the ceiling where you would see gaps beside the pot lights. Some light switches were upside down. One of the light switches was sticking out of the wall on an angle. The light cover was cracked where he cut it to fit. He said there were no covers that would fit those dimmers. They did come back and fix those items and actually found a cover that did fit. The door to the bathroom was removed for the renos. When they put the door back, the door would not close. We called them and we told them about the door. We were told that that was not their door and it was our door. We explained that the door used to close properly. They did adjust it so it would close but we feel we should not have to argue about this.We had concern about the dimmers humming loudly and he told us they were not humming. We had to hire a licenced electrician to come and give us a second opinion. He informed us that the dimmers that were installed were poor quality and he recommended Lutron Diva dimmers. We called A&A to come back and he told us that the dimmer in the bathroom was a Lutron Diva dimmer. As an electrician, he would know that it was not. He argued some more, so we hired the other electrician to change them for us and the humming greatly reduced.We feel that the worst things were him being argumentative with us and being dishonest. For example, the next day the painting was completed, the painting on the door was coming off. Where the door was touching the door frame, the paint was already peeling. We explained to him, that this was because there were too many layers of paint over the years and the edges of the door needed to be sanded before being painted. He told us that was not his job. He also told us that sanding the door would not help and that we need a new door frame. We didn’t want to argue with him anymore. So, we finished it ourselves by sanding and repainting the edge of the door. We did not need a new door frame. We feel that since we did pay them to paint, that therefore it is their job to ensure that the painting is well done. He then complained about removing the caulking where the window was. He said that was not his job. Since we paid him to remove the window, we feel it should look nice on the other side by removing the old caulking.This is unfortunate as the work when completed is gorgeous. The bathroom looks great. It was the attitude and the arguing with us and him telling us that some things were not his job. We would not recommend hiring this company.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Be very wary of this company. My next door neighbor was having work done and they were using my utilities. I came outside to find that they had their equipment plugged into my outlets and their hose in my tap. Came home from work the next day and they had taken my nozzle off my hose and put it on their hose. Over night and through out the working day they had their equipment on my lawn. They have no respect for other peoples stuff.

Amazing job. Wheras other construction companys take weeks to do a job, they were able to finish it in almost half the time. Not to mention that the finished product completly blew me away!
