Definitely one of those 'one in a million' types of small businesses that sell quality goods, service quickly and are extremely knowledgeable in their trade.I brought in a used serger that I bought on kijiji to see if it could be cleaned and serviced. The owner told me that he would call me if he found that the machine would be very expensive to fix or not worth fixing which I really appreciated being on a student budget! Turns out my new machine was in good shape and he even outfitted it with an extra thread spool and new needles. It works great!They also have a good selection of used and new machines as well as supplies for machines.

Excellent online service: great selection of fabrics at very good prices (lots of deals!) and the delivery is extremely fast with the fabric arriving in great shape. They also carry Janome accessories, parts and machines (not always easy to find in Canada) as well as a large stock of other sewing machine brands. I wish I lived nearby so that I could visit in person but failing that I am really glad they have such an effective online presence. A+++

Since they have changed hands, I have had nothing but bad repairs. I brought my machine twice now and still having issues. I need to bring it somewhere else now. I just can't bring myself to bring it back there.

Not great service all around. Girl at desk was not super knowledgeable and bit impatient and curt. Didn't offer much help except to try to sell me on 'cleaning and oiling', regardless of me saying I did it already the day before. To be fair a great many issue are just cleaning and oiling because no one does it. But I listened to her take phone calls and serve customers before me and not a single time did she offer the price for the service. It's $102... and this to me is OUTRAGEOUSLY high, and quite a shock when you go to pick up your machine and pay. They NEED to be much more clear and upfront about the price. The maintenance my machine got was poor. My machine was WAY WAY over oiled. With oil dripping out and getting on my car seat, my kitchen table, and all over my project and thread. Even opening up the machine to wipe up the extra oil did not solve the issue, it continues to drip into my white thread which sews grey. I ran the machine with an ENTIRE large spool of thread to try to clean it and STILL it is making my thread grey. It's really frustrating because I cannot use my machine to sew anything but black projects, everything white is ruined. This is the second time they did this. And the first time they stole my rare vintage plastic bobbin...probably to resell it. Do not leave anything in your machine when you bring it in.
