Society of Saint Vincent De Paul Thrift Store

Today, st Vincent de Paul delivered a beautiful table and chair set. The gentleman were very friendly and helpful. The quality of furniture at the store is excellent. Thank you for such prompt and friendly delivery.

Very Ignorant they let my husband in to shop, he called me to.come in for a few things and I was promptly yelled at that they are not open get out. I tried explaining my husband was in there, my husband then came out and this same man that yelled at me started yelling at him. I would never shop here again and will ensure everyone knows how they treat customers

No other business in Brantford forces you to use thier sanatizer please stop treating your customers like this it's terrible.Once arriving at the door you are greated in a power trip manor and it's forced on you to use there gross smelling hand sanitizer! they do not stay 6 ft apart and come right up to you!... St Vincent de Paul do better the volunteers are extremely rude.I have not been treated like this at any other re sale retailer in Brantford. They must change !

The new location is great it is much bigger then before, it has a big parking lot and lots more items. I wish there was a little more room in between racks of clothes so when you have the little ones with you in a cart you can get through easier but overall there is a great selection of second hand items. And all reasonable prices unlike some other second hand stores that want almost the same price as it was new 5 years ago. This is a great organization

In February my father broke the zipper to his winter coat. A friend suggested trying St. Vincent de Paul. The store greeter was very helpful and informed me winter coats were 50% off. For $7.50 my father has a gently used winter coat. A fraction of the price it would have costed to get the zipper replaced! Great prices! Thank you!!!! ❤️

I've shopped and donated there for many years.Wonderful personnel and so helpful. Prices are SO much better thanValue Village. I did leave a bag with a glass mirror and some ceramic cups and bread behind their counter and they were very careful with it When a new cashier or service person came use the cash register or show a customer something in the glass display case, the person theretold the new person to be very careful as there was a customer bag behind the counter and it had breakable glass. They do wonderful work!

Every member of the staff that I went by said Hi. Friendly staff and great prices makes a person want to return. I am a Grandma now (a low income one, sadly) and I want something in my place for him. Unless toys are a dollar or 2 I can't get him much of anything at all. I found some great toys for him to keep at Grandma's place for him to enjoy.

This was my favourite thrift store prior to the pandemic. Unfortunately last week I had the humiliating experience of being picked out of the line of waiting shoppers for having too many children to fit in a shopping cart. I was unaware that St Vincent's banned children under 16 from going into the store (unless they can fit in a cart). I appreciate that many of the volunteers are more vulnerable, but the answer shouldn't be to randomly adopt policies beyond what is recommended by public health. If it isn't possible to keep your volunteers safe by utilizing the measures set out by our public health experts then I truly believe the right thing to do is to wait to open until you can serve all persons without discrimination.

Wasn't allowed in for shopping last year because I didn't mask my 5 yr old. Got yelled at that we couldn't go in before we were near the doors. Mean old lady was quite full of herself. Wouldn't donate a dime to this place if I was begged.

Went there to donate boxes of household items in good shape. Pulled up and one of the workers looked in the truck and says we don't want that or that. They were suitcases in good shape which we filled with household items to carry the items.Then even though there were no other cars there told us to go park in the parking lot and carry our stuff across. All 4 of them stood watching us instead of helping. They seemed very uninterested in accepting our donations. In future I will be making my donations elsewhere
