If you care about forests in British Columbia and are against the continued destruction of endangered ecosystems, you owe it to yourself to visit.

As a health care provider, university instructor, and PhD student, I've been to many places filled with highly caring, passionate, and educated individuals. Fairy Creek is one of them. The people I've met here are all kind, helpful, and passionate. Many are knowledgeable about their rights to peacefully protest, and the importance of protecting the last 2.7% of old growth trees.Highly recommend visiting, not just to support the cause and protest, but also to learn and witness the beauty of old growth forests.

Home to the most hardworking, passionate, kind people I’ve ever met. I’m sure nobody’s looking to Google reviews to understand a blockade but don’t bother with those written by the loggers. There’s obviously a lot of emotion involved and they’re not exactly impartial.

A day visit to this stunning area . We saw first hand the devastation of clear cutting old growth and a community of hardworking people of all generations fighting to save the forests .

A beautiful community of people who truly care about protecting ancient old growth and respecting Indigenous sovereignty. If you have a chance to meet these incredible human beings and save old growth I'd highly recommend it

It is now Oct 2021, and this old-growth forest protection camp is still going strong. It is easy to find, and everybody is very welcoming. The camp always needs water and firewood… any donations are welcomed. Feel free to volunteer in the kitchen or anywhere, for any length of time. Let’s do everything we can to protect the few old-growth trees that still remain in BC. Some trees in the area are over 1,000 years old.

what a great way to get back in touch with nature, such loving and inclusive people doing what they can to not only stop the illegal logging of old growth but working to find sustainable employment for the disenfranchised loggers. we need to reopen local mills and stop exporting our 2nd growth to be bought back for double.also any trash being left behind is due to being illegally extracted without a chance to clean up behind themselves and not allowing others to clean up for them. i've never met people more interested in making sure they don't leave a trace. what i do find though are beer cans and shell casing and blasting wire which were there before the protesters arrived.i honestly feel bad for the loggers and locals who are just annoyed by all this and don't see the problem at large. be well

For anyone who looks at the 1 star ratings and notices the critiques of the conditions around the camp which doesn't have a logging company providing sanitation, recycling and waste management services; the mess left behind by logging companies at various venues is not trivial.

Truly such a special place, I've learned so much about how Indigenous sovereignty intersects with climate action here. I've always felt so safe and supported volunteering at the blockades this summer<3

Never have I met a bunch of more genuine, open minded and peaceful people. Coming together to protect our old growth. Way to go!
