I have been quite a few times and have immensely enjoyed myself every time. The waitstaff is super friendly! I have had a few different dishes and have never been disappointed. I like the variety in their menu and as a vegetarian feel like there is always something for me to try- which is not always the case for most restaurants. Thank you for the great meals and service, I will be back!!

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Beautiful building, fantastic service, I believe our waiters name was Todd (I hope I got that right!) and he was just the best, someone who you can tell has the highest passion for what he does and a love of food that really added to the overall experience. The crusted lamb shank was one of the best things I’ve had in recent memory, and my girlfriends salmon dish was equally as impressive. The presentation and plating, the rustic environment and quality of service have made me a huge fan. I also found the pricing very affordable, there are chain restaurants in the Ottawa area that are equally as expensive and not nearly the same quality. Definitely coming back soon.Side note: the cardio employees must get walking up and down those stairs is very impressive.

This has officially become my favorite place, the heritage building has history and is so cozy. The server was knowledgeable and suggested a wine we loved. We both couldn't resist to get the beef wellington, and all I can say is Wow!! One of the best meals I ever had. Farm to table at a very reasonable price and big portions!We will be coming back again and again.

This is a hidden gem in the Cumberland and Rockland area. We had the beet salad, Wagyu corn dog, salmon Benny on potato pancakes and lobster & crab carbonara. The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. This will be my go to place for dinner.

We went to this hidden gem August 2022. Wow. I wish we had gone much sooner. The chef is amazing. Friendly and has a great staff. Abundant young staff to attend to you.One of the best meals we have had in a long long time.Located in the small town of Cumberland Ontario.The food is farm to table and most items are locally sourced. There is a menu; and specials menu and off menu items. There is an amazing pizza menu as well. Fresh fresh FRESH.We both went with the lobster risotto and there was no room left for desert. We decided to get desert to go to eat at home.We were so impressed that we have booked the patio for my wife’s Birthday party later this month.You just have to try this place and you will be back for more.

UPDATE Brunch Date in March 2023: Brunch (by reservation) was calling our names on a somber early March Sunday. The atmosphere at our table on the 2nd floor was truly delightful. The ambiance is lovely, the background music was great mix of genres, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed an offering of spring salad mix with a vinaigrette, pork sausage & bacon, savoury home fries, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit salad plus a nicely chilled Mimosa for Mum! My daughter added a fat cinnamon bun to her plate, and all was consumed in a rapture of flavour. The other room on the 2nd floor was being prepared for a baby shower which reminded us that MFC has the space to host showers, business events, and various other celebrations. Something to keep in mind for future get togethers!MakerFeed was the spice we needed in our take out during the pandemic. Weary of some of the local offerings we switched up for some wood oven baked pizzas on several occasions as well as a full meal for takeout that included tender gnocchi, savoury mussels & Frites, a margherita pizza, and a take on shepherds pie. Everyone truly enjoyed the food and hope to dine at the restaurant once they get over the switch to dine-in. Took a few pics of the charming setting during a pizza takeout night in late winter.

Do yourself a favor an order the French onion soup, exceptional quality. Beef Wellington was well done, very tasty and it’s a generous portion.
