Felix's Swim School Downtown

My daughter is enrolled at Swim School here. She was very afraid to get into the water but the staff and instructors worked very hard to make her comfortable entering the water! I was so grateful and happy when she finally got in. Felix swim school went above and beyond in my opinion allowing my daughter to stay for the next class to ensure she would be more comfortable for the following week considering it took her awhile to get used to the water. Defiantly the best place for swim school for your little ones. I am very eager to see what the next few months will bring.

Excellent program with amazing results. My son learned more on the first day of his class at Felix than he did in over a year in another program in the city. Alex does a great job memorizing the kids names and making them feel comfortable. He is also open to addressing any concerns that parents might have. The instructors are fantastic! Pool area downtown is a bit warm so wear short sleeves!

The swim pool at Felix Swim School is not only good but also impeccably clean, and the team is incredibly nice! The adult swim program they offer is truly extraordinary, and the incredible results I have achieved speak volumes.I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Felix Swim School, where I have been able to develop my swimming skills in a nurturing and empowering environment. I just completed the 8-week beginner adult swim program at the downtown location. Before this program, I was afraid of the water and never floated in my life. I've always wanted to bite the bullet and take a class, but the few 1-on-1 classes I found were too expensive and I wanted something recurring. The City of Toronto's group classes were cheaper but impossible to get into.Felix's Swim School was the best option I could find and I'm so glad I went for it. It's a group class with about 5-6 instructors. I didn't always have the same instructor each class, but the ratio of instructor to student was usually about 1:2 or 1:3 so there was a lot of individual attention. Because of this program, I felt comfortable in the water for the first time in my life. I learned to float and even to front crawl with side breathing. I am in awe of my progress here and I am so thankful to the instructors who taught me these essential skills. It's never too late to learn to swim. Shout out to Mo, Azi, and Oliver for being so patient with me, I'll never forget it!

Our daughter has been taking lessons at Felix downtown location for over 8 months and we’ve been very happy with the instructors and the administration. The instructors are all good and give personalized attention to the kids. They understand each kid’s fears and help them overcome them. The ratio is supposed to be 3 kids to 1 instructor, but in our experience it’s typically 1 or 2 kids per instructor. The administration is also very supportive of accommodating preferences with regards to instructors, where possible. All in all, very positive experience with all instructors, especially Azi who helped our daughter love swimming over the winter semester.

I cannot emphasize enough how incredible our experience has been with Felix Swim School! When our 4-year-old first started lessons, he was incredibly shy and hesitant, not even wanting to enter the water during his initial class. However, everything changed when he formed a special bond with Theo who's the program supervisor at our location, who wasn't even assigned as his instructor that day. Seeing our child's hesitation, Theo went above and beyond by changing into his swimsuit and, without hesitation, jumped into the pool with him. This act of genuine care and support was an absolute game-changer.From that moment on, our child had an absolute blast and has been eagerly looking forward to every lesson ever since. The transformation has been remarkable. The level of dedication and commitment shown by Theo, along with the entire staff at the school, is truly exceptional. Their ability to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment has helped our child overcome his shyness and develop a deep love for swimming.We are eternally grateful to Theo and the entire team at Felix's for their extraordinary efforts and unwavering dedication. They have not only instilled confidence in our child but also fostered a genuine passion for swimming. Our experience with Felix's Swim School has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

The place itself is good, most of the people who work there are really nice and professional, but I had the worst experience with the bald guy who’s name is Peter (if I’m not wrong) I think he is one of the guards, but I have seen him talking really bad with other staff and also kids. I was trying to ask a few questions but he didn’t even listen to me, even my kid had the same complaints!This guy is acting like he is forced to do the job and is behaving a really bad manner. I would give more stars for the place itself.

The swimming pool is super small. There are approximately only 6 lanes, and each lane sometimes would have at least 2 to 3 people swimming at the same time. The instructor teaches 5 to 6 people depends on if there are make up lessons, and the teacher will neglect certain students and pay more attention to a few. Overall I did learn much and didn't get enough attention and tips. I was also sick most of the classes, despite the sick notes I can only allow to have 2 makeup lessons the most. So I didn't get to attend half of classes which is very very unfair since I can't control to not be sick! Overall the teachers weren't good, and the facility was too crowded!
