Dermatologie - Dr. Garnis-Jones

Dr. Garnis-jones is very impersonal and seemingly impatient. If you're too old and too jaded to take care of people, just retire already. Not mention the the administrative staff. Not one attempt to make me feel welcome or comfortable. They must all take the same etiquette class. Poor performance.

I waited three months, and then drove FOUR HOURS (one way) from Kelowna to Maple Ridge specifically for this appointment, only to be in the actual office talking to the doctor for less than 5 minutes. Upon walking into the appointment, she didn’t even seem to know initially what it was about. After I explained to her, she simply said she doesn’t know what it is and proceeded to write me a prescription for eczema. Not any help giving me advice on improving my skin. Just wrote an easy prescription and that’s it. Wow. And before I left I had a simple question about a different skin concern, which she refused to talk to me about. She said I would need to get another referral. You’re right in front of me and instead of answering my question, you’re making me get a new referral, wait another 3 months for an appointment, and drive another 8 HOURS round trip just so I can get an answer!?? Seriously!? I’d give zero stars if I could. I didn’t realize it was possible for a doctor to be so dismissive and useless to her patients. It really is a shame.

This is not for Dr. Sylvia, more for the aesthetician. I had couple session micro-needling for acne and acne scar improvement. The whole session didn’t get supervised by doctor and the result is getting worse after the sessions. Totally feel like waste of money. Do not recommend

Boo! Terrible experience at this place. Dr.Sylvia strolls in 15 min late, confused about who I was and why I was there? I think she had the wrong patient information up? Her advice was weak and uninformative. No options given just the most expensive non-covered treatment at her clinic. Yikes!!! Definitely seek a 2nd opinion even if you have to get a new referral from your physician.

Good dermatologist, knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Great, welcoming front staff, nice and clean updated waiting room, punctual, easy parking.

Dr. Garnis-Jones did extensive blood tests on me and discovered that I had a vitamin deficiency which was easily fixed. I feel so much better and it has only been a couple of months. I found her very caring and professional, and she took my concerns seriously.

I saw Dr Haiducu. I was 5 minutes early, but he saw.me right away. He is very nice, friendly and easy to speak with. He is reassuring, and prompt with the treatment I required. I was also able to get an appointment to see him promptly. All in all an excellent experience.

Horrible. Sylvia seemed like she just didn’t care, she didn’t know what we were in there for, she gave pretty much useless information and refused to answer general questions about similar issues without another referral. If I could give 0 stars I would. I’d recommend not wasting your time with this individual, she s simply not worth it. I went elsewhere and the experience was better, the advice was actually good, answered all of my questions. I don’t know about the clinic in general, but this one individual is the reason we will not step foot there again.

Receptionists will book you an appointment and regardless if you have a time slot or have to wait a bit longer the nurses appointments and clients come first before we do. Doctors push us back so they can make more $$$ and fit them in. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Couple people walked out with me.Don’t book clients in and then treat them like they come last. I won’t be coming back. If I can’t be taken care of as a client and others at that why would I truest any of them with my body?
