Dr. S Brown

Business starts at reception. She is the face and voice of his practise. She asked me to sign a form on the counter. I signed it and was ready to walk away but remembered what my attorney had recently reminded me of, Read all you Sign". So I started reading the notations on the top of this sheet and she yelled at me not to read other peoples names as medical information is confidential. This seemed funny to me as this sheet is left out on the counter and I had just signed my name this why I went to top to read what I signed. I had not even had time to finish what I signed let alone read other peoples names. If this information is confidential I suggest it not sit on counter for all to see .I also found when I phoned in it was like I was bothering her. I think she was more interested in what Dr Brown thought of her then helping his patients. I will not be returning. Staff behaviour should be addressed and corrected or this staff member should be let go."

I am sure Dr. Brown is knowledgeable however pain management of a joint break is important to healing as well and Dr Brown brushed that aspect aside. He was not interested and seemed to not care.

Nothing but great experienced hard working dr had replaced my parents knee last year.its like gave a new life to them thanks a lot..

This guy is a rock star. He is competent and capable with a lot of experience. I had complete confidence in him and had a successful hip replacement. Life changing.

Best knee surgeon you will ever find. Had both knees done 2006 and 2007 and still going strong. Never had even a small issue 1

Had a very bad experience with my mother’s knee surgery. He really don’t care about patients after surgery. I strongly don’t recommend him.

The receptionist is extremely rude and unfriendly and Dr Brown does not seem to have an interest in his patients. I had to personally request physio and when asked if I could go back to work he said it was up to me??

I should have written this long ago, but kept forgetting. I am so grateful for Dr. Brown’s efficiency, kindness and skill. I had both knees replaced and could not have asked for a better experience. The receptionist also was helpful and soothed my nerves tremendously! I feel like a new human.

I had ACL and meniscus surgery by Dr. Brown in 2020. In the initial appointment he seemed friendly and willing to help. After the surgery in the post-op room he wasn't very informative about the goals I needed to achieve in order for a successful recovery. When I arrived to my first post-op appointment, he was upset with my progress which was very discouraging. I did not feel set up for success. In addition, I had to ask Dr. Brown the outcome of my surgery and whether he was able to fix my meniscus in addition to my ACL. As it is my body, I would have appreciated being provided with the outcome of my surgery so I could convey that to my physiotherapist.Despite adhering to post ACL recovery guidelines and attending physiotherapy on a regular basis, my recovery was anything but smooth. I ended up in hospital again about a year post-op because I was unable to walk after simply getting out of my car. I scheduled a new appointment with Dr. Brown and provided him with an updated MRI scan. He told me that everything was fine and the problem was that I need to work on my muscle tone." This was not only unhelpful

He fixed my knee in the spring and my right hip last week. Both are better than ever in my life already :)
