Balmoral Golf Course

The course is good, but the marshall... Super rude and completely unfair.It totally ruined my experience there and if I could rate it lower I would.Many other clubs treat you well and respect you as a customer. Not here, spend your money anywhere else.

Have been members for many years we are always treated as special guests.

Very poor and unprofessional service. While using the washroom between the front and back 9 we were told to not play the back 9 and instead receive a refund of $12 dollars because we only had 1 hour and 30 minutes left before they were going to close. So the front 9 nine was going to cost us $39 but they were only going to refund us $12 for the back 9! Needless to say I said we'll play until it gets to dark and then quit. As we continued on we saw why they didn't want us to play anymore. All the flags had been pulled out and they were trying to close early. We had to play from 8:30 till 10:05 pm with no flags so shooting blind into each green! We ended up getting 7 of the 9 holes done in 1 hour and 35 minutes which was worth a lot more than a $12 refund! Not the greatest experience that's for sure!

Casual experience, nice course, best course in the area for the price easily

Normally I eagle every hole, but here I merely hit par. A less mature person would blame the course, but I'm really mature so I know the real problem was my clubs.

Known about this place for a long time. It's a bit of a hidden gem, the owner's care immensely for the sport and put exceptional work into the course itself. Only caveat is that children under 6 aren't allowed due to an insurance policy. Otherwise absolutely great for an 18 hole outing.

Nice, classic old course, some long 4's and tiny, tricky greens. Staff are super friendly and very accommodating.

Beautiful course, very well groomed, greens are meticulously. Had a great game, till the 6th or 7th hole when the GOLF Marshal came and told us that we were too slow and if we wanted to golf here again we should go faster! Totally inappropriate, there wasn't even players behind us at the time! Clearly he has no idea of how to treat the very people that are paying to enjoy the beautiful course, great outdoors and a chance to spend quality time with the people they came to Golf with. We took 2 hours and 45 minutes to golf the 9 holes at Balmoral, weather was not the greatest. Regardless if we were too slow I will not go out of my way to go back and try to play the course faster! Sad cause we were thinking of getting a membership!

Fast greens, with lots of movement. Deceptively tough! Helpful course Marshall's. Good turf conditions.
