We had a fantastic stay at Island Lake Lodge! The rooms are beautiful, the restaurant is delicious, and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. There are a ton of hiking trails that start right at the lodge so we had plenty to do. Highly recommend!

Amazing overall experience. Very secluded feel without having to travel hours from civilization. Terrain is quite fun, with lots of undulations. Glades were spaced to perfection. Scenery from the lodge is unmatched anywhere I've been. This was the most personalized vacation experience I've ever had. Canadians are naturally pleasant, but this was even more wonderful than usual

I visit fernie nearly every year and the lodge is one of the must see spots I visit. Often I mtb ride up to it, grab a treat at the top and enjoy the setting before ripping back down. On this past trip I was there to photograph a wedding over a couple of days and what a treat it was to be there and enjoy the whole resort. Once you see it you want to stay longer. A beautiful quiet lake, and amazing food made for a perfect wedding. I can't wait to go back again.If you get a chance, make sure you enjoy some of the hikes above the resort, amazing views!

The cat skiing experience is simply breathtaking, with the guides taking you to untouched powder runs and offering valuable insights into the terrain and snow conditions. The snow quality is top-notch, making for some exhilarating runs down the slopes. I was also pleased to note that the staff takes great care in ensuring the safety of all guests on the mountain.After a full day of skiing, the spa at Island Lake Lodge is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The spa offers a variety of treatments all delivered in a serene and tranquil environment. The therapists are highly skilled and attentive to guests' needs, ensuring a rejuvenating and satisfying spa experience.One of the unique features of Island Lake Lodge is its remote location, which makes it the perfect spot for stargazing. The lack of light pollution means that the stars shine brighter than ever before.The food at Island Lake Lodge is another highlight of the stay. The lodge's chef uses locally sourced ingredients to create gourmet meals that are both delicious and nutritious.They even offer dry aged meats if you like to sample something extra at dinner. Guests can look forward to a hearty breakfast, a packed lunch to take on the mountain in the cat, and a three-course dinner that is a feast for the senses. The staff is warm, welcoming, and goes above and beyond to ensure that guests have a fantastic stay. Gretel, Reese, Emily, and Markus were so fun and made the bar lounge after skiing so fun. The guides are knowledgeable and passionate about their work, making the skiing experience all the more enjoyable. It only snowed Monday and we had fresh powder lines the entire week.In conclusion, my experience at Island Lake Lodge was nothing short of amazing. From the breathtaking skiing terrain to the relaxing spa treatments, delicious food, stargazing tours, and friendly staff, the lodge exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable cat skiing adventure in the beautiful British Columbia wilderness.

This place has a spectacular setting deep in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It is breathtaking. All staff and all service people went out of their way to make sure we were all comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Loved that every little detail was taken care of. Overall, Island Lake is a very special place and it is off-the-charts.

We didn't stay but hiked up through the old growth cedars and had lunch on the patio. The views are worth the trip and the food was outstanding

We had our wedding at Island Lake Lodge this past June and it was absolutely amazing. We booked our wedding in 2019 for originally June 2021. Like many other couples, we had to postpone. Island Lake was so accommodating and easy to work with throughout the whole postponement process and then into actually planning. Kendra was wonderful to work with! She truly cares about your wedding and will make sure that everything runs smoothly. From start to finish, our wedding weekend was a dream. Our guests all had great things to say about the lodge, staff, food, and drinks. The staff were incredible! Every single person was so nice and had a high attention to detail. Thank you so much for everything. If you're thinking of having your wedding here, DO IT! We can't wait to come back for an anniversary.

Such a gem. Did the Old Growth Trail and was absolutely amazed and speechless. Trail good for most ages. Spectacular views all around you. Learnt about CatSkiiing. The Lodge is very unique and the staff were super awesome. Definitely a must see if you are in the area.

We came for a family birthday dinner (8 people).We were seated inside, right in front of the bar and kitchen entrance. When we reserved we had asked to be outside. The area was noisy and very busy. When asked, they moved us to a quieter area.Service was extremely slow, an hour to get our entrees -- and some arrived cold.The food was acceptable, but not the taste treat we'd experienced on prior visits.Prices for food were high, but could have been ok for great food. This was not.I also thought the charge of $6 for 3 pieces of bread was tacky.Very disappointing experience compared with past visits.
