I highly recommend the team at XPS for any type of asphalt work. I called a couple of places, since the work i needed was small, i was referred to Tony at XPS, am i glad to have been given his phone number. After researching his company, i was confident to want to do business with him.From the first call, very professional, polite and friendly and straight to the point, no sales pitch. Tony told me he would go take a look at my issue, which was at the bottom of my driveway, my exterior drain in front of my garage door was lifting and was very possible that water was leaking into the asphalt area around the drain and causing it to lift and the asphalt to crack.Within 48 hours Tony had passed by my home, inspected the drain issue and promptly called me back with his advice and a rough estimate. He did not try to upsale me or sell me things i did not need or have me replace my drain, he simply told me what he thought was the problem and what his team would do to fix it. He told me that within the next 24 hrs i would receive a detailed estimate by email, true to his word, i received in the next day, called Tony back to confirm and to set up a tentative date for the work to be completed. A couple of days later Tony called me back and told me that the work could be done the next day in the afternoon, that was great news to me.Once again true to his word, his crew of 4 professionals led by his son Johnny showed up at around 2:00 pm and got to work. These guys are professionals, they started by cutting out the section of my asphalt that was had to be removed around the drain, they made sure that the dust and debris were a minimum, very appreciated. Once the cuts were made, they carefully excavated by shovel and pick the asphalt that had to be replaced. They didnt stop there, since there was in issue with the height and angle of my drain, they dug around and removed the 3/4 rock all around the drain, it was full of water which is not a good sign. Once they removed all the rock, which was pretty deep, at least 1 ft, they removed the drain box from the pipe going under my home, by the way, it was not even glued together, they noticed and made sure to do it later in their work. Once the drain box was removed they removed any excess water from the whole, cleaned out the drain box, leveled the surface, connected the drain to the pipe, glued the pipe to the drain, leveled the drain, heated by torch the edges of the opening to better accept the new asphalt, sprayed on a glue product, and then started to fill up the whole opening with hot asphalt. Once the asphalt was in place they made sure to properly level it so that any water would drain directly into the drain and not sit in one spot. During the whole process Johnny was consistently making sure that everything was done correctly and that no steps were skipped. The entire crew was professional, friendly and hard working, no standing around and wasting time. Once the job was complete they made sure the entire driveway was cleaned up and that any debris was removed and taken away, which was a happy surprise to me.
