Smitty's Family Restaurant and Lounge
I’ve come to this location about 4 times and it was always during lunch. Every time before today was great service. I felt I was a victim of racism. For what reason I don’t know. But as I was only eating for not even 5 mins I was approached by server stating that I had to pay before I was finished as she said the manager said that there’s too many people on the floor? Which I don’t understand and I’m pretty certain that I was the only person that happened to. As a result I paid for it but had no appetite afterwards so I got up and left.Very disappointed and won’t be returning.

Food came out quick and was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful and kept our drinks full and made sure we had everything we needed.overall a good experiance.

Went there with our family of 4 for a late Brunch mid afternoon on a Friday. It wasn't busy at all but yet the service and the food quality were poor. Cold kids meals, bread barely toasted and butter caked on and not even melted, hollandaise with a layer of skin on it so thick that it must have been sitting for quite some time before being served to us plus a Bacon Mushroom and Cheese Omelet with no Bacon in it! Server had not provided cutlery and it took a long time for her to bring some when we asked for it. When we mentioned that our food was cold all she did was respond oh it's cold" but offered nothing to remedy the situation! With the prices clearly going up in Restaurants ($18 for breakfast!!!) the quality needs to be better!"

This was a place I always wanted to try but for some odd reason I never got to doing it.I know a friend that swears by this place and that's where she eats breakfast all the time, she always told me to try it and I finally went and did it and it was pretty darn good if I should say!The location is very easy to find in North Gate, the decor is a bit outdated and the lighting in there is horrible. It is very hard to take a nice photo because of how dim the light bulbs are, the place definitely needs renovation, the place is clean nonetheless, the employees are polite and prompt, they come asking for refills at the right times without you needing to ask like at many other restaurants..The food prices were very good, my whole place cost about 17 dollars and it was a HUGE plate, I was full to the brim when I was finished.. It was satisfactory food for the price they are asking.The place does invite more of the older crowd, alot of old timers that have been coming and enjoying smittys for a good time now and that only shows how many loyal customers this place has!Good food, great service, mundane interior but if you can look over that, it's worth a shot to try.

This is my favorite smitty's to go! The staff are amazing, they have great service! I have never complained about their food. They keep the restaurant clean, they have a lounge. I meant to take pictures of our food but it looked so good that we all just dug in lol

Smitty's Family Restaurant and Lounge
We haven't been here for a couple months. Went with my son. They charged us more what it's stated on the menu and it was such small portions. Guess we re never eat at smitty's anymore we could went to the food court to eat with less money and a larger portion. It said comes with fries or soup and I choose the soup and they charged me extra 4 dollars for the soup. Very disappointing

My wife has dietary restrictions as in gluten free and no dairy....our server Hala was eager to help her order a good meal and even offered suggestions..The food was well prepared and flavorful..

I stop in here because I think this is a cozy place just to get away from the all the hustle and bustle . To be honest I havent tried there food menu yet . They do have a lot of customers in the restaurant area, I always go to the lounge to play the slots, come Chek it out ,

Smitty's Family Restaurant and Lounge
Ordered the lunch combo - clubhouse sandwich and caesar salad through SkipTheDishes. The sandwich is exactly what you would expect, hit the spot (add a little pepper and Sriracha or BBQ). What impressed me was how well-dressed the salad was!! Actual caesar dressing on the caesar salad without having to ask and pay for extra. Very surprised by how much I enjoyed the side.

Waitresses are nice and pretty quick when bringing beverages and the food. The food itself is fine and good tasting. I just don't feel you get enough food for the amount you are paying. Overall though it is a good diner for a quick bite.
