Impressive Canines - Professional Dog Training & Behaviour Therapy

Jess has been fantastic with our fearful Havanese and teaching us how to build our little girl's confidence. She came to our house and spent over an hour with us seeing how our little girl reacts to environments around us and coaching our management of stressful new situations so we could in turn better manage our little girl's experience of those environments. My partner and I STRONGLY recommend Jess to all pup parents, and particularly those dealing with anxious or poorly socialized dogs (a particular issue as we emerge from this pandemic and find ourselves and our fur-babies having to relearn to interact with others successfully).

Always a great experience at Impressive Canines. The owner and trainer is extremely knowledgeable and conducts classes with the utmost professionalism. Having taken our now 5 yrs old border collie through multiple levels and variety of courses, she is now a registered St. John Ambulance therapy dog, we were happy to enroll our new rescue into obedience training. Jess' expertise enables her to quickly and accurately identify behaviours in the dog and in the handler thus making adjustments effectively in real time! On top of that, it's always a fun and pleasant experience!

We have used Impressive Canines for both private sessions and group puppy obedience classes. Both were positive experiences. Jessica makes sure you are able to read your dogs body language & identify their triggers. She demonstrates & provides techniques to help stop undesired behaviours. I would definitely recommend in home training sessions if you need help correcting your dogs behaviour.

We have been training our dogs with Impressive Canines for several years. We have done puppy classes, obedience, agility and Rally-O. Classes are small so you get lots of work time. Jess is knowledgeable about dogs and training techniques. She keeps the dogs safe, learning and having fun. We plan to continue training with Impressive Canines in the new year.

I’ve done quite a few classes with Jess with my two Dobermans over the years. My boy loves agility, and Jess’ approach helped us successfully complete “scary” obstacles (ie. the teeter totter) with no fear on his end!My girl has unfortunately been fear reactive from a very young age. Jess has helped us through group classes specifically for reactive dogs, and one on one sessions. She helped not only my dog, but me too! I’m much more confident in assessing and helping my dog through any situations that may come up on our day to day walks — and my dog is better because of it!! Would highly recommend Jess for any troubles you have or just for normal obedience/agility fun!!
