So there was a photo of those steamed soup pork dumplings on the menu, so I pointed to it and asked to order one of those. LOL the waitress said it was not on the menu and it was just a photo… Why would they put a photo of a food item when it’s not even on the menu????Anyways besides that, the Curry beef and rice was good except that there was so little rice I had to order another bowl of plain rice. Lots of sauce though! We also got the deep-fried chicken nuggets and noodle soup. The chicken was very good, but the soup was almost tasteless.Overall it was a satisfactory experience. I would still come back just to try different items though!

Total disappointment. My friend asked if they had shrimp fried rice and they told me they don’t have it, I ordered XO sauce barbecue pork fried rice then it came out to be a plate with shrimp and some tiny pork pieces on the rice. I’m allergic to seafood so I asked them maybe they made the shrimp fried rice instead of what we ordered for my friend, turned out it was the XO sauce barbecue pork fried rice. The guy with glasses had a good attitude but the girl with the mask who I believe is the manager that day tried to blame it on me because didn’t say I’m allergic to seafood. First I didn’t see a word of shrimp or anything seafood on the menu for that dish it’s just called XO sauce barbecue pork fried rice. I’m not going back there and I hope this comment can help many people to avoid this restaurant. Not the attitude for running a restaurant and I had the worst experience dining here, aThey definitely made no effort to correct the situation.

I heard about the pork hock from this restaurant here and there and decided to try their Small WanLuen Pork Hock recently. The skin was flavourful, soft, and still had enough of a chew. The meat was tender and flavourful. Some of the meat was a bit dry but the sauce really helped. It felt that their special sauce actually completed the dish as it was slightly sweet and it had enough spice (horseradish?) that cut through the grease while not overwhelming the flavour or texture. There was a decent amount given the price and it’s generally worth trying.

Nice presentation on a tray. The garlic soy sauce that is served with the pig's feet was delicious. However, my pigs feet came lukewarm, not tender at all, dry, and did not taste fresh. My side dishes also tasted not very fresh. They tasted as if they were sitting out for a while. Definitely did not taste like it was made fresh to order. The only thing that tasted truly fresh was the steamed rice which was indeed hot and fresh.Overall, wasnt bad, but comparable in taste and quality to T & T supermarket ready made foods.

Pork hock is the speciality here. The sauce definitely hits the spot.

The food here is nice and quite authentic. Pork hock comes in large portions with a side veggie which is really healthy. Marinated pork rib boodles are quite authentic Taiwan food. The price is reasonable and the waiters/waitress are quite nice. Would come again.

Liked the marinated tofu, popcorn chicken, and braised pork. Everything else had no flavour and not enough meat. Service was quite poor.

I have always enjoyed their pork hock but the one I had few days ago was not fresh nor tender; however, the dipping sauce remained as tangy as before which I liked. The deep fried chicken nuggets were excellent, juicy and delicious and very crispy. The lu wei (marinated apps) was not as good as I have hoped for, the intestine wasn’t cleaned properly and tofu was too tough. The omelet was simple yet sophisticated, the combination of egg and corn starch water surprisingly goes well together. The malt milk tea was as good as before too!All in all, I’ll come back to try other dishes.

This restaurant is popular for its pig's feet which came with great presentation on th plate. I also like their spicy dry cooked chicken, it's quite authentic. My only qualm with this restaursnt is that the combo side dishes feel a bit lacking. The pricing is on par with other cafes of this caliber. You can get a full meal for around 15-20$.

RecommendThe flavor is classic. The sauce tastes like sweet garlic mix with mustard sauce, little bit odd at first, gradually you will taste more and more favor from the Wanluan pork hock. The small size Wanluan pork hock is enough for two people.
