I have used Rackel Belzil LLP at multiple occasions, whether it’s anything related to real estate or for my personal needs. They have always served me better. If you are looking for a responsible and intelligent lawyer, I would highly recommend advocate Raj Deol and his team! I have worked with Raj for the past three years and he never disappoints me with his excellent work ethic.

I had my will prepared at Rackel Belzil LLP and Anna Mae and Robbi Bitner were wonderful to deal with. preparing a will can be overwhelming, but they helped break it down and were encouraging, professional and very thorough. I would highly recommend them for your legal needs.

The legal team is bar non the best in their field. Karen Rackel is an amazing lawyer that knows her stuff and won lawyer of the year I believe in 2015. She gives back to the community in many ways. She has and still is representing me in a very sad time of my life. She and her team have definately put my mind at ease and have given me a sense of comfort.

Stay away from Matt Pruski at this firm.Horrible experience with a lawyer who is good at overbilling clients for work he is not asked to perform, and then gets poor results for the work he is asked to perform. A quick internet search will find this is a very common practice for Mr. Pruski. Over-promise and under-deliver. Our company which has been in business for almost 40 years has dealt with many lawyers in the past. Working with Matt was by far the worst experience we have ever had and an absolute waste of time and money.He also made extremely defamatory comments from a previous file about one of our staff. Very unprofessional.Too many other good lawyers in Edmonton to waste your time with this guy.

Sadly, I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Raj Deol. The man is unqualified and unethical. He provides advice in areas he knows nothing about, messes up the case as he doesn't do his homework, and tries to bully/threaten his way to court. He has been caught changing the facts (to escalate a situation) on multiple occasions and by numerous people- including the accountant, other lawyers and myself. After speaking with several lawyers, I learned that Raj is often described by his peers as aggressive" and "bombastic". He is known within the legal community for pushing his clients to go to court (regardless of whether the case has validity). This results in huge legal bills for his clients. His priorities are making money and trying to establish his career- not solving problems in a cost-effective way for the benefit of his clients. Edmonton has ample other lawyers to choose from. Go elsewhere!!Note- The response below from the owner made me laugh! This deflection strategy was completely predictable. Trying to blame the other party instead of being accountable/taking responsibility for your law firm and its lawyers is not a strategic business practice."

I have worked with Louis Belzil for about ten years. He has acted ably at all times and his billings have always been reasonable.I am troubled by the negative reviews. They do not reflect my experience. Louis was recommended to me by my former litigation lawyer when he was appointed to the Court of Queen's Bench and could no longer represent me. Louis is a respected and accomplished litigator. At one point, Louis was head-hunted as a litigator by Bennett Jones. He left to start Rackel Belzil LLP after a year. We were relieved as he was once again more affordable. Specifically, Louis acted on a case involving an insurance claim by my son in connection with a car accident when the insurer declined to pay on a technicality. Louis took the case, won and a six figure liability went away. I rely on Louis for wise legal counsel regularly and feel that I have always been well-served.

Mr. Belzil has been a friend and legal confident of mine for over 15 years. I would best describe Louis as intelligent, thoughtful, caring, professional and having a keen understanding of the law. I have trusted by business with Louis and trust him as a friend. If you are looking for a lawyer that would look after your best interests, Louis would be an excellent ambassador for you.
