The Snug Pub
Had a really excellent experience at The Snug Pub. I didn’t have high expectations for this pub within the hotel but it honestly delivered!I had the chicken and risotto main course. Chicken was tender, nicely seared. All the flavours were comforting and spot on.Service was friendly and genuine. The views are beautiful from the restaurant during the day but dark in the evening so you can’t see the ocean at that point.Cocktails also exceeded expectations. Appreciate the use of local distilleries. Thanks for the lovely meal and drinks, will be back!

Nolan was amazing lead server and he knew his product really well, very knowledgable, and very entertaining. The food was so amazing fresh and delicious and good quality!

I’ve been hear a few times over the years when staying in the hotel. My most recent meals (1 breakfast and 1 dinner) were really disappointing, especially considering the cost. The food was nothing special at all. I also found the menu options too limited. Service was great, the view is spectacular, and I love the ambiance. Maybe they will revamp the menu and review their pricing (currently $18 for a bowl of soup!). Until then, I’ll likely come here only for drinks and eat elsewhere.

Snug Pub is located inside the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. We stopped for a little dessert and cocktails after exploring Victoria.The hotel itself is gorgeous, with picturesque views of the water and mountains.If you get there after “busy” hours it’s easier to walk in and snag a spot outside.The service was excellent! Ordered a creme brûlée to share, and a lemon drop and hot toddy.As the evening got cooler, they offered to turn the heat lamp on and brought out blankets.Next time, dinner.

Had lunch at The Snug today. With such a limited menu we anticipated our choices to be good. The Chicken Club was entirely UNDERWHELMING and difficult to eat because it was poorly constructed. The toast was quite dry and there certainly was a lack of flavour. The Snug Burger was ‘just okay’ but not special. The fries were good, the view was beautiful and the service was excellent. The prices were ridiculous for what was offered.

Beautiful views of the water from a light-filled room. Lovely service, nice selection of craft beers on tap. The chowder was absolutely delicious, accompanied by tender rosemary focaccia. The chicken club was a bit plain, but the chicken was tender.

Chose the snug pub for my daughter's birthday. Food was good but the service was exceptional! Henry's knowledge, suggestions, and humor made for an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back.
