Long open beach, lots of space

Beautiful beach and nearby abundant cliffs, wode vistas and nature like only Canada provides. The beach itself was clean. Wheelchair access would be a challenge.There is ample parking and a playground for toddlers at the top of the beach, near the restaurant.The beach itself is wide at low tide, making for a beautiful walk and giving the ability for families to camp and let the children play. It is allowed to swim there.For us the beach itself would get only 3 stars because the restaurant's big outside speakers blared pop music and its thumping bass could be heard all the way to the far end of the beach. Music is not what we came out here for. Nature is. The music was taking away the charm, not adding to it.The 3 stars for the beach itself were lifted to 4 stars in this review because of a 5-star experience just near the beach. The second car park, located just 2 streets away, gives acces to a nature trail where whole cliffs can be enjoyed alone and in complete silence. The trail is not wheelchair accessible. Most of it is flat and easily walkable though. Some stairs are put it on the steeper spots. As a result the trail is very easy to do even for untrained walkers. The trail first goes through forest but then loops back onto wide vistas of cliffs that are some of the most beautiful sea views I have seen. Some cliffs can be climbed down to at own risk but that takes quite some skill.Let's pray that they don't put up music speakers near this trail either... Big nature is the uniqueness and attraction of this place, not music, so I pray they leave nature be.

This is by far the best beach. Also has a canteen for beer or ice cream and some quick food. The beach is massive and sand bottom. What else do you want?

A lovely beach with really nice, well maintained hiking trails along the cliffs nearby. You can experience Fundy's dramatic tides here on New River's sandy shore. It's great for swimming if you can take the cold Atlantic waters!

Awesome little spot! There is a ton of beach too when the tide is out! My wife and I found it when we heard of a big sand sculpture competition. The beach seemed packed (based on parking) and there was still loads of sand to be shared.We’ll definitely be going back!

I was shocked when we stopped in to see this place!Stunning! So clean and pristine.Huge beach and even cooler and impressive when tide is out!No dog's allowed on beach, but off season seems to not be an issue.Please clean up after your dogs everywhere so we all can enjoy so many places with our pet's!

Super smooth white sand beach not far from Saint John. The beach becomes enormous when the tide is out giving lots of space to walk or play. There is a really nice hiking trail at the east end of the beach with lots of rugged rocky coastal views to enjoy. Highly recommend checking out everything this park has to offer.
