Universel Déjeuners et Grillades
We went between 2:30 and 4 on a weekday so was less crowded. Did not dine inside but outside. It is wheelchair accesible and staff helped with my gram to accomodate her however were a bit snarky. The food and portions were great. So yummy and a fabulous array of drinks. Good size portion, excellent breakfast selection and service was ok. Would go back again.You can call in advance to ask how crowded.

Amazing experience on my Family Day long weekend in Montreal. Quick & efficient service. The waitress Cuma (hopefully I'm spelling her name right) was awesome and very polite. Anything your try on the menu is great & tastes delicious! Highly recommend

I recently had the pleasure of brunching at Universal in Downtown thrice during my stay in Montréal, and let me tell you - it was a real treat! The crepes were absolutely heavenly, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory fillings. The mimosas were really good. But the real star of the show was the salmon Benny. It was a work of art, with perfectly poached eggs and the most delectable hollandaise sauce I've ever tasted. All in all, it was a breakfast/brunch experience that I will not soon forget. If you're in the mood for some tasty eats and a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to be!

The vibe at Universel is so good!! We had the classic eggs Benedict, eggs Florentine and the French toast with bananas. The hollandaise sauce was so good!! Their freshly squeezed orange juice was absolutely refreshing. The staff at this place are really nice and helpful as well. Definitely going back!

Recently ate breakfast here. The portions were pretty small and even the bread basket they brought to the table looked a little sad.We ordered the breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, ham which came with coffee fruit and toast.Noticed the 2 eggs looked like 1 egg, the meats were very small and dried up like the fruits on the plate. The server was very very nice though! That’s one added bonus.Probably wouldn’t come back.

They have a brunch menu and a lunch menu! You get to pick from either one, which is great. They have so many options that it can get super confusing to pick if you tend to be an indecisive person. The food is good. The plates are a good size. I tried the brunch menu, so I can’t tell you much about the lunch menu, but looks good! They were training new servers so the service was extra nice that day and the design of the place is nice. Vegetarians (like me) can figure something out to eat, and there’s a few options for my vegan friends. Overall, I’d say try it out if you’re looking for a place to go.

Nice place for an amazing meal! Not only the onion soup I order was delicious (the Poutine was too but the soup was an unexpected finding I loved!)Also the people there were super kind. I entered the restaurant 50min before closing time without realizing it - I realized it when I asked if could work on my computer. No only they offered me a plug and the wifi passwords they never made me feel in a rush and came and ask if I needed something else. I ended up staying a little over closure and finish my meal peacefully.I felt so welcomed and I’m definitely coming back!
